Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band tocaron la noche de apertura de su gira Born To Run Tour en The Palace Theatre en Providence, Rhode Island. La gira en realidad comenzó más de un mes antes del lanzamiento del álbum Born to Run; “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” hizo su primera aparición, pero el programa estuvo dominado principalmente por material más antiguo. El espectáculo también vio el debut en vivo de Steven Van Zandt, también conocido como Little Steven, como miembro de The E Street Band.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played the opening night on their Born To Run Tour at The Palace Theatre in Providence, R.I. The tour actually began more than a month before the album, Born to Run, was released; “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” made its first appearance, but the show was mostly dominated by older material. The show also saw the live debut of Steven Van Zandt, aka Little Steven, as a member of The E Street Band.
