Nicola James “Jim” Capaldi (2 de agosto de 1944 – 28 de enero de 2005) fue un músico y compositor inglés fundador de la banda “Traffic”. Tocó la batería con varios cantantes y músicos famosos, incluyendo a Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Alvin Lee y Mylon Lefevre.

Nicola James “Jim” Capaldi (August 2, 1944 – January 28, 2005) was an English musician and composer who founded the band “Traffic”. He played drums with several famous singers and musicians, including Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Alvin Lee, and Mylon LeFevre.
Born Nicola James Capaldi in Evesham, Worcestershire, England to Italian immigrant parents Nick and Maria Capaldi. His brother Phil, born February 1, 1949, also plays drums professionally as a full-time member of “Joe Brown’s Bruvvers.”
Jim Capaldi’s musical career spanned more than four decades. He co-founded “Traffic” in Birmingham with Steve Winwood and the band’s psychedelic rock was very influential in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Capaldi and Winwood wrote many of the greatest hits for “Traffic” and most of the songs on the band’s 10 albums.
