Sinatra built his style on the basis of a natural understanding of popular music, as Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong had understood it, exploiting the idea that this, in all its aspects, should be an extension of the conversation.

Technically, he was characterized by his careful precision in phrasing and his mastery of breath control; the range of his voice was close to the bass-baritone. In addition, he was an absolute pitch, like Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
