Se estrenó la película Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, pero fue un fracaso. Fue duramente criticada por los críticos, pero apenas logró el equilibrio en taquilla y se convirtió en un fracaso legendario de Hollywood a pesar de las apariciones de Peter Frampton, The Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Tina Turner y otros. Sin embargo, la película produjo un puñado de versiones notables de los Beatles, como “Got To Get You Into My Life” de Earth Wind and Fire.

The film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band opened, and tanked — hard. Savaged by critics, it barely broke even at the box office and became a legendary Hollywood flop despite appearances by Peter Frampton, The Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Tina Turner and others. The movie did produce a handful of notable Beatles covers, however, such as Earth Wind and Fire’s “Got to Get You into My Life.”
