Biografía

Es un cantante, compositor estadounidense y vocalista de la banda estadounidense Foster the People. Es el fundador de la banda Foster the People junto con Mark Pontius y Cubbie Fink formando así un grupo con batería, bajo y voz.

Foster asistió a la Escuela Secundaria Nordonia en Cleveland, Ohio. Después de graduarse, se mudó con su tío Sylmar a Los Angeles en California para seguir una carrera musical en la cual tuvo varios trabajos. Dijo: “Me sentía como un Hunter S. Thompson de 18 años de edad, estaba simplemente subiendo a esta subcultura de Hollywood Hills y tomando todo.. No era tímido de tomar mi guitarra en una fiesta quería ser el centro de atención”.

En un tiempo, se reunió con el actor Brad Renfro. Foster luchó con la adicción a las drogas durante sus primeros años en Los Ángeles, diciendo: “Se puso bastante oscuro, mis amigos pensaron que iba a morir. Biography

He is an American singer, songwriter, and vocalist for the American band Foster the People. He is the founder of the band Foster the People along with Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink thus forming a group with drums, bass and voice.

Foster attended Nordonia High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating, he moved with his uncle Sylmar to Los Angeles in California to pursue a music career in which he worked various jobs. He said, “I felt like an 18-year-old Hunter S. Thompson, I was just climbing into this Hollywood Hills subculture and taking it all in. I wasn’t shy about picking up my guitar at a party. I wanted to be the center of attention.”

At one time, she met with actor Brad Renfro. Foster struggled with drug addiction during his early years in Los Angeles, saying, “It got pretty dark, my friends thought I was going to die. I was blind to it. When I was 19, it got to a point where I I told myself “Enough, enough.” I saw that time was passing me by, I wasn’t being productive.

Several attempts to found a gang were unsuccessful. After turning 22, he says that he was contacted by Aftermath Entertainment to showcase his musical talents, but the opportunity ultimately fell through. For the next several years, Foster waited tables at a cafe while dealing with writer’s block, but remained in Los Angeles after landing a job writing a jingle commercial for Mophonics in 2008.
