ALLENE RAY (nacida Allene Ray Burch ; 2 de enero de 1901 – 5 de mayo de 1979) fue una actriz de cine estadounidense.

Ray nació en Devine, Texas , y creció en el rancho de su padre con sus cuatro hermanas y dos hermanos. Estaba aprendiendo a montar a los 3 años y a los 20 se había convertido en «una jinete consumada».
Su primer trabajo relacionado con el cine fue vender entradas en un cine, y su primera aparición en el cine se produjo cuando Harry Myers llegó a Texas. Filmó dos rollos de película con Ray antes de irse. Biography and career
Ray was born in Devine, Texas, and grew up on his father’s ranch with his four sisters and two brothers. She was learning to ride at 3 years old and by 20 she had become «an accomplished rider.»
His first movie-related job was selling tickets to a movie theater, and his first movie appearance came when Harry Myers came to Texas. He shot two reels of film with Ray before he left. Her next break in film came in 1920 when she won a publishing beauty pageant after her sister submitted her photo as an entry.
Ray became a serial hero for Pathe Pictures, acting and performing stunts that included riding horses, «staggering off the roofs of buildings, and jumping into lakes.»
His film credits include Honeymoon Ranch (1920), West of the Rio Grande (1921), and Partners of the Sunset (1922). The latter did it for the Lubin Corporation. When making The Fortieth Door (1924), Ray decided to wear a dark wig, as the film featured an Egyptian heroine. His film career continued in the talkies era with appearances in such films as The Indians Are Coming (1930), Westward Bound (1930), and The Phantom (1931). Ray played the role of stowaway in Gun Cargo (1949). After leaving the movie business, Ray worked as a seamstress and editor in Temple City, California.
