Felipe Neri era hijo del matrimonio habido entre el se\u00f1or Ignacio Medina Valderas y la se\u00f1ora Petrona C\u00f3rdova Id\u00edaquez, empresarios mineros y hacendados de la localidad de Danl\u00ed; su madre Petrona C\u00f3rdova Id\u00edaquez era hija de Jos\u00e9 Santiago Fern\u00e1ndez de C\u00f3rdova Aranda y Mar\u00eda Francisca Idi\u00e1quez; por otro lado maternal su abuelo Jos\u00e9 Santiago Fern\u00e1ndez era hijo de Tom\u00e1s Fern\u00e1ndez de C\u00f3rdova y Micaela Aranda, vecinos de Tegucigalpa.
