Se convirti\u00f3 en el \u00e1lbum m\u00e1s exitoso de todos los tiempos con ventas que superaron los 50 millones de copias. Junto con Purple Rain de Prince, Thriller abri\u00f3 el camino para ayudar a derribar las barreras raciales entre los fan\u00e1ticos de la m\u00fasica en la d\u00e9cada de 1980, trascendiendo los g\u00e9neros de R&B, soul y pop, ayudado en gran parte por varios videos de muy alto perfil en MTV para canciones como como “Billie Jean” y “Beat It”, as\u00ed como la adaptaci\u00f3n \u00e9pica de 10 minutos de la canci\u00f3n principal, dirigida por el director de Hollywood John Landis ( Animal House, The Blues Brothers y muchos otros).<\/p>\n

Along with Prince’s Purple Rain, Thriller led the way in helping to break down racial barriers among music fans in the 1980s, transcending genres of R&B, soul and pop \u2014 aided in no small part by several extremely high-profile videos on MTV for songs such as “Billie Jean” and “Beat It,” as well as the 10-minute epic adaptation of the title song, directed by Hollywood director John Landis (Animal House, The Blues Brothers and many others).<\/p>\n
