El Tratado congela las aspiraciones territoriales de los signatarios e impide la negaci\u00f3n o afirmaci\u00f3n de derechos de soberan\u00eda de los firmantes. De la misma forma, qued\u00f3 prohibida toda medida militar y uso militar de las bases. Tambi\u00e9n se proh\u00edbe el ensayo de toda clase de armas, as\u00ed como las explosiones nucleares o almacenar material radioactivo.
