Miguel R\u00edos, es un cantante y compositor de rock espa\u00f1ol, uno de los pioneros de este g\u00e9nero en su pa\u00eds, naci\u00f3 el 7 de Junio de 1944 en Granada (tiene 75 a\u00f1os de edad) y comienza su carrera art\u00edstica a la edad de 16 a\u00f1os.<\/div>\n

Todo empez\u00f3 a ra\u00edz de un concurso de canto patrocinado por la “Radio Cenicienta 60”. El, junto a un grupo de amigos, cantaron una canci\u00f3n de Paul Anka y lograron llevarse el primer premio. Debido a este hecho, un cazatalentos lo lleva a Madrid a tentar suerte. Es as\u00ed como en 1962 graba su primer EP con 4 temas bajo el nombre de “Mike Rios”.<\/div>\n

Poco a poco se iba haciendo conocido, pero en 1964, decide usar su verdadero nombre y hace su primera incursi\u00f3n en la pantalla grande con la pel\u00edcula “Dos chicas locas, locas”.<\/div>\n

En 1969 aparece su \u00e1lbum debut como artista de rock & roll bajo el t\u00edtulo de “Mira hacia ti”, pero es un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde cuando conoce el verdadero \u00e9xito con el LP “Despierta”. En este disco se inclu\u00eda la canci\u00f3n “Himno de la alegr\u00eda” (extracto del \u00faltimo movimiento de la novena sinfon\u00eda de Beethoven) con el cual logr\u00f3 vender 10 millones de copias en todo el mundo y se situ\u00f3 en el primer lugar en pa\u00edses como Estados Unidos, Alemania, Francia, Italia, y el Reino Unido.<\/div>\n

En 1971, nace el \u00e1lbum “Unidos” y en 1972 el disco en vivo “Miguel R\u00edos en directo: Conciertos de Rock y amor”. Por esa \u00e9poca, Miguel Rios tuvo problemas con las drogas, y fue arrestado por fumar marihuana, pero d\u00edas despu\u00e9s fue puesto en libertad.<\/div>\n

Un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde aparece un disco recopilatorio titulado “\u00c9xitos”, y en 1974 vuelve a los estudios para darle vida a “Memorias de un ser humano”.<\/div>\n

Pasaron dos a\u00f1os para que Miguel Rios volviera a presentar un nuevo material. Es as\u00ed como ya en 1976 sale a la venta “La huerta at\u00f3mica”. Poco tiempo despu\u00e9s edita el disco “Al-Andalus” (1977), y en 1978 se lanza a la gira “La noche roja”, donde colaboran artistas de la talla de Tequila y Triana. Meses m\u00e1s tarde, Miguel Rios finaliza la d\u00e9cada con el lanzamiento de “Los viejos rockeros nunca mueren” (1979).<\/div>\n

1980 trae consigo “Rocanrol Bumerang” y lo vuelve a llevar a la cima del \u00e9xito con el tema “Santa Luc\u00eda”.<\/div>\n

Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, aparece una nueva producci\u00f3n, “Extra\u00f1os en el escaparate”, del que logra colocar la canci\u00f3n “A\u00f1o 2000”, entre las favoritas del p\u00fablico.<\/div>\n

En 1982, se publica el \u00e1lbum doble “Rock and Rios”, convirti\u00e9ndose en un \u00e9xito de ventas. En 1983 sale a la luz “El rock de una noche de verano”. Con la aparici\u00f3n de este disco, Miguel Rios realiza una gira multitudinaria a lo largo de Espa\u00f1a, con Luz Casal y Le\u00f1o, como teloneros.<\/div>\n

El LP “La Encrucijada” es editado en 1984 y posteriormente el disco recopilatorio “Rock en el Ruedo” aparece en el mercado. Lamentablemente esta \u00faltima producci\u00f3n fue un total fracaso en ventas.<\/div>\n

Ya en 1986 nace el disco “El A\u00f1o del Cometa”, que es lanzado internacionalmente.<\/div>\n

Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, emprende un nuevo proyecto para la televisi\u00f3n: un programa (“Que Noche la de Aquel A\u00f1o”) sobre la historia de la m\u00fasica pop-rock espa\u00f1ola de 1962-1987.<\/div>\n

En 1988, se embarca en un gira por M\u00e9xico, y tras cerrar la gira graba “Miguel Rios” (1989).<\/div>\n

La d\u00e9cada de los noventa trajo consigo muchas m\u00e1s producciones. En 1991, Miguel Rios presenta “Directo al coraz\u00f3n”, y en 1992 se publica un nuevo disco recopilatorio denominado “As\u00ed que pasen 30 a\u00f1os”.<\/div>\n

En 1993 Miguel Rios recibe un premio honor\u00edfico por su exitosa carrera: la Medalla de las Bellas Artes, otorgada por el rey Juan Carlos.<\/div>\n

Un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde, nace el disco “Como si fuera la primera vez”. Tambi\u00e9n ese mismo a\u00f1o se embarca en una gira en conjunto con Joan Manuel Serrat, Ana Bel\u00e9n, y V\u00edctor Manuel, bajo el t\u00edtulo de “El Gusto es Nuestro”. Tanta fue la acogida del p\u00fablico, que se edit\u00f3 un disco en vivo de los conciertos, el cual se vendi\u00f3 de manera incre\u00edble tanto en Espa\u00f1a como en Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/div>\n

Meses despu\u00e9s, graba junto a Ana Bel\u00e9n un disco homenaje a Kurt Weill (“Ana Bel\u00e9n, Miguel R\u00edos cantan a Kurt Weill”). Este \u00e1lbum origin\u00f3 una gira a lo largo de toda la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica acompa\u00f1ados por la Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Granada.<\/div>\n

Miguel Rios inicia el milenio con “Las Estrellas del Rock Latino” (1991). Esta producci\u00f3n contiene duetos de Miguel Rios con artistas espa\u00f1oles como Rosendo, Joaqu\u00edn Sabina y Manolo Garc\u00eda, as\u00ed como con artistas latinoamericanos de la talla de Charly Garc\u00eda, Fito P\u00e1ez, Aterciopelados, Man\u00e1 y el Tri. La calidad del disco fue tal, que estuvo nominado para los premios Grammy Latino.<\/div>\n

En el 2002 recibe otro premio honor\u00edfico: la medalla de Plata de Andaluc\u00eda. En el 2004 celebra su cumplea\u00f1os n\u00famero 60 con el lanzamiento del disco “60 mp3”. Gracias a este material, recibe el premio al Mejor Disco de Rock, en los premios de m\u00fasica en Espa\u00f1a.<\/div>\n

Miguel R\u00edos, is a singer and composer of Spanish rock, one of the pioneers of this genre in his country, he was born on June 7, 1944 in Granada (he is 75 years old) and began his artistic career at the age of 16 . It all started as a result of a singing contest sponsored by “Radio Cinderella 60”. He, along with a group of friends, sang a song by Paul Anka and won the first prize. Due to this fact, a talent scout takes him to Madrid to try his luck. This is how in 1962 he recorded his first EP with 4 songs under the name “Mike Rios”.<\/div>\n

Little by little he became known, but in 1964, he decided to use his real name and made his first foray on the big screen with the movie “Two crazy, crazy girls.”<\/div>\n

In 1969 his debut album as a rock & roll artist appeared under the title “Look at you”, but it was a year later when he met the real success with the LP “Despierta”. This album included the song “Hymn of joy” (an extract from the last movement of Beethoven’s ninth symphony) with which he managed to sell 10 million copies worldwide and ranked first in countries such as the United States. , Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.<\/div>\n

Miguel Rios begins the millennium with “Las Estrellas del Rock Latino” (1991).
