Su carrera musical se inici\u00f3 en 1986 cuando grab\u00f3 el sencillo “El Qu\u00edmico”, un material de g\u00e9nero pop rock. El tema fue compuesto por Miguel Valdiviezo, vocalista del grupo Taller, y musicalizado por el Grupo Clip. Posteriormente difundi\u00f3 su tema “Organizar”.<\/div>\n

En 1987, Egas obtuvo el segundo lugar en el Cap\u00edtulo OTI Ecuador con la canci\u00f3n “A esta guerra s\u00ed voy”. En 1990 public\u00f3 “Sin poder”, que como particularidad, fue el primer videoclip de un int\u00e9rprete nacional grabado en formato de cine. Particip\u00f3 en varias telenovelas y series como Una mujer y A la Costa, basada en la novela hist\u00f3rica del escritor ambate\u00f1o Luis Alfredo Mart\u00ednez. Particip\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en Flores secas, El rey de la playa y Emergencias. Represent\u00f3 al Ecuador como invitado en el International Festival Curacao Song. Tras varios a\u00f1os de actividad art\u00edstica, dividida entre el canto y la actuaci\u00f3n, Egas incursion\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en los g\u00e9neros de rancheras y baladas. El 16 de febrero de 2003, particip\u00f3 en la premiaci\u00f3n de TC Televisi\u00f3n a los int\u00e9rpretes ecuatorianos de mayor popularidad, trayectoria y aceptaci\u00f3n.<\/div>\n

El 22 de mayo de 2006 hab\u00eda mencionado en una entrevista a Diario El Universo que el tema “Ens\u00e9\u00f1ame el camino” iba a ser el promocional de su \u00e1lbum, en el cual trabajaba con el productor y m\u00fasico argentino Daniel Sais. sin embargo el 15 de julio de 2006, a la prematura edad de 40 a\u00f1os, muri\u00f3 a causa de un edema agudo pulmonar y una insuficiencia card\u00edaca.<\/div>\n

His musical career began in 1986 when he recorded the single “El Qu\u00edmico”, a pop rock genre material. The song was composed by Miguel Valdiviezo, vocalist of the Taller group, and set to music by Grupo Clip. Later he spread his theme “Organize”.<\/div>\n

In 1987, Egas obtained second place in the OTI Ecuador Chapter with the song “A esta guerra si voy”. In 1990 he published “Without power”, which as a peculiarity, was the first video clip of a national interpreter recorded in film format. He participated in several soap operas and series such as Una mujer and A la Costa, based on the historical novel by the Ambate\u00f1o writer Luis Alfredo Mart\u00ednez. He also participated in Flores secas, El rey de la playa and Emergencias. He represented Ecuador as a guest at the Curacao International Song Festival. After several years of artistic activity, divided between singing and acting, Egas also ventured into the genres of rancheras and ballads. On February 16, 2003, he participated in TC Televisi\u00f3n’s award to the Ecuadorian interpreters with the greatest popularity, trajectory and acceptance.<\/div>\n

On May 22, 2006, he had mentioned in an interview with Diario El Universo that the song “Ens\u00e9\u00f1ame el camino” was going to be the promo for his album, in which he worked with the Argentine producer and musician Daniel Sais. On July 2006, at the premature age of 40, he died a cause of acute pulmonary edema and heart failure.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
