Rodgers naci\u00f3 en Middlesbrough, ciudad del norte de Inglaterra. Tocaba el bajo (posteriormente tomar\u00eda el rol de cantante) en la banda local The Roadrunners, la cual poco antes de trasladarse desde Middlesbrough hacia la escena musical de Londres cambi\u00f3 su nombre a The Wildflowers. Otros miembros de esta banda fueron Micky Moody (futuro integrante de Whitesnake) y Bruce Thomas (quien despu\u00e9s tocar\u00eda con Elvis Costello and The Attractions).<\/div>\n

Rodgers was born in Middlesbrough, a city in the north of England. He played bass (later taking on the role of singer) in the local band The Roadrunners, which shortly before moving from Middlesbrough to the London music scene changed their name to The Wildflowers. Other members of this band were Micky Moody (future member of Whitesnake) and Bruce Thomas (who later would play with Elvis Costello and The Attractions).<\/div>\n

Rodgers appeared on the British music scene in 1968 as a singer-songwriter in the blues-rock band Free. The song played a pivotal role in introducing Rodgers’ style, while helping to establish the blues-rock sound of the British Invasion. In 2000 the British Music Industry presented Paul Rodgers with the Multi Million Award when “All Right Now” surpassed 2 million broadcasts on British radio.<\/div>\n

After the separation from Free, Rodgers briefly formed a trio called Peace in which he played guitar and, of course, was their vocalist. Although Peace rehearsed and recorded some demos, none of these were released before Rodgers formed Bad Company.<\/div>\n
