Hern\u00e1n Jes\u00fas Gonz\u00e1lez, (Caracas, 11 de noviembre de 1953 – ibidem, 2 de junio de 2008), conocido por su nombre art\u00edstico Pecos Kanvas, fue un cantautor venezolano de merengue, lambada y baladas rom\u00e1nticas. A los 15 a\u00f1os participaba en coros juveniles eclesi\u00e1sticos y posteriormente participa comienza en el Show de Alfredo Ledezma y el grupo Escena. Cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s Rudy M\u00e1rquez le dio el nombre art\u00edstico que us\u00f3 durante toda su vida.23 Trabaj\u00f3 componiendo temas de telenovelas de RCTV, logrando hacerse famoso cuando lanza “Tu cari\u00f1o se me va”.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Luego estuvo 12 a\u00f1os en Venevisi\u00f3n donde sal\u00eda en el programa S\u00e1bado Sensacional como apadrinado de Amador Benday\u00e1n, adem\u00e1s de seguir componiendo canciones para las telenovelas del canal.<\/div>\n

Aunque Kanvas interpret\u00f3 temas con mensajes de protesta; fue en el g\u00e9nero de la balada rom\u00e1ntica con el que obtuvo \u00e9xitos durante los 70’s y comienzo de los 80’s. Uno de sus temas m\u00e1s famosas fue Entr\u00e9gate, tema de la telenovela Emilia, pero se retirar\u00eda temporalmente en 1987. Reaparece en el a\u00f1o 90, tras cuatro a\u00f1os de retiro, con una versi\u00f3n que abord\u00f3 el estilo lambada, el tema “Tesoro M\u00edo”.<\/div>\n

En 1991 sac\u00f3 Mar y Luna, disco que se orient\u00f3 hacia el g\u00e9nero de la tecnolambada con canciones como “Mar y luna” y “Todo el mundo necesita amor”. Durante su carrera obtuvo 14 discos de platino.<\/div>\n

Antes de fallecer ten\u00eda planificado realizar un concierto el 13 y 14 de julio del mismo a\u00f1o en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/div>\n

Hern\u00e1n Jes\u00fas Gonz\u00e1lez, (Caracas, November 11, 1953 – ibidem, June 2, 2008), known by his stage name Pecos Kanvas, was a Venezuelan singer-songwriter of merengue, lambada and romantic ballads. At the age of 15 he participated in choirs ecclesiastical youth and later participates in the Alfredo Ledezma Show and the group Scene. Four years later Rudy M\u00e1rquez gave him the stage name that he used throughout his life.23 He worked composing themes for RCTV soap operas, becoming famous when he released “Tu cari\u00f1o se me va”.<\/div>\n

Then he spent 12 years in Venevisi\u00f3n where he appeared on the Saturday Sensacional program as sponsored by Amador Benday\u00e1n, in addition to continuing to compose songs for the channel’s soap operas.<\/div>\n

Although Kanvas performed songs with messages of protest; it was in the genre of romantic ballad with which he obtained success during the 70’s and beginning of the 80’s. One of his most famous songs was Entr\u00e9gate, the theme of the telenovela Emilia, but he would temporarily retire in 1987. He reappeared in 1990, after four years of retirement, with a version that tackled the lambada style, the theme “Tesoro M\u00edo”.<\/div>\n

In 1991 he released Mar y Luna, an album that was oriented towards the genre of tecnolambada with songs like “Mar y luna” and “Everyone needs love”. During his career he earned 14 platinum records.<\/div>\n

Before he died, he had planned to perform a concert on July 13 and 14 of the same year in the Dominican Republic.<\/div>\n
