Juan Esteban Aristiz\u00e1bal V\u00e1squez, conocido por su nombre art\u00edstico Juanes, es un cantante, compositor y m\u00fasico colombiano de pop latino y rock en espa\u00f1ol que fusiona diversos ritmos musicales. Ha sido premiado con 26 Grammy Latinos a lo largo de su carrera; siendo el mayor r\u00e9cord logrado por un cantante colombiano1 y ha vendido m\u00e1s de 16 millones de \u00e1lbumes a nivel mundial. Juan Esteban Aristiz\u00e1bal V\u00e1squez naci\u00f3 el 9 de agosto de 1972 en Medell\u00edn, Antioquia. Tiene cinco hermanos mayores quienes le ense\u00f1aron a tocar la flauta y la guitarra, instrumento que lo ha acompa\u00f1ado toda su vida musical.<\/div>\n

Desde la infancia la m\u00fasica fue su principal pasatiempo. A los 15 a\u00f1os comenz\u00f3 su carrera en una banda de metal, llamada Ekhymosis, con la que public\u00f3 cinco \u00e1lbumes logrando un buen reconocimiento en la escena rock de su pa\u00eds natal, Colombia. Cabe destacar que en 1999 toc\u00f3 el bajo en algunas presentaciones con la banda Agony, en ese mismo a\u00f1o al disolverse Ekhymosis, Juanes decide lanzarse como solista y en el a\u00f1o 2000 debuta con el \u00e1lbum F\u00edjate bien, logrando buenos conceptos de la cr\u00edtica especializada.<\/div>\n

En 2002 ratifica la calidad de su trabajo con Un d\u00eda normal, consiguiendo mayor notoriedad en el \u00e1mbito latinoamericano; en 2004 lanza el \u00e1lbum Mi sangre, que se convierte en superventas internacional, logrando posicionarse bien en un gran n\u00famero de pa\u00edses alrededor del mundo. A finales de 2007 saca a la luz p\u00fablica La vida\u2026 es un ratico, con gran \u00e9xito. En 2010 p\u00fablica P.A.R.C.E., considerado uno de sus \u00e1lbumes m\u00e1s \u00edntimos. En 2012 publica el \u00e1lbum Juanes MTV Unplugged con tres canciones nuevas, \u00abTodo en mi vida eres t\u00fa\u00bb, \u00abLa se\u00f1al\u00bb y \u00abAzul Sabina\u00bb. En 2014 p\u00fablica su \u00e1lbum m\u00e1s reciente, Loco de amor.<\/div>\n

Juan Esteban Aristiz\u00e1bal V\u00e1squez, known by his stage name Juanes, is a Colombian singer, composer and musician of Latin pop and rock in Spanish who fuses different musical rhythms. He has been awarded 26 Latin Grammys throughout his career; being the highest record achieved by a Colombian singer1 and has sold more than 16 million albums world wide. Juan Esteban Aristiz\u00e1bal V\u00e1squez was born on August 9, 1972 in Medell\u00edn, Antioquia. He has five older brothers who taught him to play the flute and guitar, an instrument that has accompanied him throughout his musical life.<\/div>\n

From childhood music was his main hobby. At the age of 15 he began his career in a metal band, called Ekhymosis, with which he published five albums, achieving good recognition in the rock scene of his native country, Colombia.
