Jos\u00e9 Pastor L\u00f3pez Pineda, m\u00e1s conocido como Pastor L\u00f3pez, fue un cantante y compositor venezolano, con nacionalidad colombiana, (Barquisimeto, Venezuela; 15 de junio de 1944 – C\u00facuta, Colombia; 5 de abril de 2019), m\u00e1s conocido como Pastor L\u00f3pez, fue un cantante y compositor venezolano, nacionalizado colombiano, reconocido en Am\u00e9rica Latina por interpretar raspacanilla, cumbia y porro. Apodado como \u00abEl Indio\u00bb, tuvo gran transcendencia en la m\u00fasica latina, con \u00e9xitos musicales como \u00abGolpe con golpe\u00bb, \u00abEl ausente\u00bb, \u00abTraicionera\u00bb, \u00abTienes que regresar\u00bb, \u00abColegiala\u00bb, \u00abLloro mi coraz\u00f3n\u00bb, \u00abLas cale\u00f1as\u00bb, \u00abTriste Navidad\u00bb, \u00abReggaeton con otro tumbao\u00bb (con Tony Reggue), entre otros temas que situaron la cumbia colombiana en la palestra mundial.<\/div>\n

Impulsado por sus hermanos se inici\u00f3 cantando m\u00fasica llanera; alcanz\u00f3 reconocimiento en el combo de su compatriota Nelson Henr\u00edquez, luego de su paso por otras agrupaciones como la de Los Mayorales y el Combo de Emir Bosc\u00e1n.<\/div>\n

Luego de dos a\u00f1os en el combo de Nelson Henr\u00edquez (1972-1973) y con el apoyo de Juan Enrique el de los Montes, propiedad del productor Roberto Rueda, form\u00f3 su propia agrupaci\u00f3n Pastor L\u00f3pez y su Combo 1973, desde entonces grab\u00f3 temas colombianos y cumbias, varias de las cuales son de autores de cumbia \u2014Cari\u00f1ito sin M\u00ed, Traicionera, Nuestro Anillito, Sorbito de Champagne, Las Cale\u00f1as y otras m\u00e1s\u2014. Vivi\u00f3 entre Venezuela y Colombia, en este \u00faltimo pa\u00eds realiz\u00f3 la mayor parte de sus presentaciones con su orquesta y disfrut\u00f3 de considerable popularidad; adem\u00e1s, su agrupaci\u00f3n musical fue conformada en su mayor\u00eda por m\u00fasicos colombianos.<\/div>\n

La trayectoria musical de Pastor L\u00f3pez en Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador y otros pa\u00edses fue considerablemente extensa. Su estilo fue la m\u00fasica tropical, en la que se destacan g\u00e9neros como la cumbia, el paseo vallenato, el pasea\u00edto y el porro, entre otros. Su agrupaci\u00f3n estaba conformada por dos trompetas, piano, timbal, bajo, conga, un corista y \u00e9l como cantante. Pastor fue reconocido internacionalmente, en pa\u00edses como Estados Unidos, Canad\u00e1, Espa\u00f1a, Inglaterra y en general en cualquier lugar del mundo donde existan colonias latinoamericanas.<\/div>\n

Jos\u00e9 Pastor L\u00f3pez Pineda, better known as Pastor L\u00f3pez, was a Venezuelan singer and composer, with Colombian nationality, (Barquisimeto, Venezuela; June 15, 1944 – C\u00facuta, Colombia; April 5, 2019), better known as Pastor L\u00f3pez, was a Venezuelan singer and songwriter, nationalized Colombian, recognized in Latin America for interpreting raspacanilla, cumbia and porro. Nicknamed “El Indio”, he had great transcendence in Latin music, with musical hits such as “Golpe con coup”, “El ausente”, “Traicionera”, “You have to return”, “Colegiala”, “I cry my heart”, “Las cale\u00f1as”, “Triste Navidad”, “Reggaeton with another tumbao” (with Tony Reggue), among other songs that placed Colombian cumbia on the world stage.<\/div>\n

Driven by his brothers, he began singing llanera music; he achieved recognition in the combo of his compatriot Nelson Henr\u00edquez, after passing through other groups such as Los Mayorales and Emir Bosc\u00e1n’s Combo.<\/div>\n

He lived between Venezuela and Colombia, in the latter country he made most of his presentations with his orchestra and enjoyed considerable popularity; Furthermore, his musical group was made up mostly of Colombian musicians.<\/div>\n

Pastor L\u00f3pez’s musical career in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and other countries was considerably extensive. His style was tropical music, in which genres such as cumbia, paseo vallenato, pasea\u00edto and porro stand out, among others. His group consisted of two trumpets, piano, timpani, bass, conga, a chorus and he as a singer. Pastor was recognized internationally, in countries such as the United States, Canada, Spain, England and in general anywhere in the world where there are Latin American colonies.<\/div>\n
