En 1986 form\u00f3 parte del grupo Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9, logrando gran \u00e9xito dentro y fuera de Espa\u00f1a. Debut\u00f3 en solitario en 1993 con el \u00e1lbum Mujer. Marta S\u00e1nchez naci\u00f3 el 8 de mayo de 1966 en Madrid, hija del cantante asturiano Antonio S\u00e1nchez Camporro y de la gallega Mar\u00eda Paz L\u00f3pez Pestonit. Desde peque\u00f1a estuvo rodeada de artistas y su padrino fue el tenor y profesor de canto Alfredo Kraus. A la edad de 13 a\u00f1os ya compon\u00eda canciones junto a su compa\u00f1ero de clase Pedro Perilla y varios de esos temas los dedicaba a la Virgen de su colegio. A\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde empe\u00f1ada en cumplir su sue\u00f1o, decide presentarse a un programa musical de TVE presentado por Torrebruno llamado: Sabadabad\u00e1. Con guitarra en mano, regalada por sus padres, interpret\u00f3 un tema compuesto por ella, llamado \u201cVoy buscando\u201d.<\/div>\n

En 1989, fueron el primer grupo espa\u00f1ol contratado para actuar en el Festival de Vi\u00f1a del Mar, en Chile. Al a\u00f1o siguiente estrenan su cuarto disco titulado 1990, que fue doble disco de platino, al vender m\u00e1s de 250.000 copias. A finales de ese mismo a\u00f1o, Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9 es elegido para actuar ante las tropas espa\u00f1olas destacadas en la Guerra del Golfo P\u00e9rsico. Marta S\u00e1nchez interpret\u00f3 varias canciones y anim\u00f3 a los soldados, como hab\u00eda hecho Marilyn Monroe en la guerra de Corea en 1954 o Rosa Morena en la Marcha Verde en 1975.<\/div>\n

El \u00e1lbum 1990 fue producido por Nile Rodgers, colaborador habitual de artistas internacionales como Madonna, Diana Ross o David Bowie, asimismo compuso el tema “Soldados del amor” primer sencillo del disco.<\/div>\n

A finales de 1991, Marta S\u00e1nchez se mud\u00f3 a Nueva York junto a su novio Sterling Campbell, baterista del grupo Duran Duran y juntos comenzaron a componer temas para el \u00e1lbum debut de la artista. La mayor\u00eda de las canciones, algunas compuestas por Sterling Campbell, no lograron convencer a los directivos de Hispavox, por lo que Marta S\u00e1nchez decidi\u00f3 terminar su contrato con la discogr\u00e1fica. Meses despu\u00e9s firm\u00f3 contrato con Polygram Ib\u00e9rica con la cual lanz\u00f3 su primer disco en solitario Mujer en 1993, producido por Ralf Stemmann y Christian De Walden.<\/div>\n

Para 1997, lanza Azabache, que representar\u00eda su lado m\u00e1s oscuro, ofreciendo una imagen muy cambiada, con ritmos guitarreros (de nuevo con el guitarrista Slash) y un sonido m\u00e1s soul. Este disco tambi\u00e9n fue editado \u00edntegramente en ingl\u00e9s (One Step Closer). Los cr\u00edticos alabaron el trabajo de Marta, alegando que ten\u00eda una producci\u00f3n m\u00e1s elaborada e internacional. El \u00e1lbum fue producido por Nile Rodgers y cont\u00f3 con la colaboraci\u00f3n del m\u00fasico y arreglista Andr\u00e9s Levin. Azabache fue grabado \u00edntegramente en los EE. UU. y de este disco se extrajo como sencillo el tema “Moja mi coraz\u00f3n” que lleg\u00f3 a conseguir el primer puesto de la lista Billboard.<\/div>\n

Marta lanza su primer \u00e1lbum recopilatorio titulado Los mejores a\u00f1os de nuestra vida en el que se incluye un disco doble, el primer CD contiene sus grandes \u00e9xitos y el segundo versiones remezcladas. Ese mismo a\u00f1o se embarca en una extensa gira por muchos teatros de toda Espa\u00f1a llamado La magia de Broadway interpretando temas de otros musicales como Evita, Jesucristo Superstar, Los miserables o West Side Story. Recibiendo excelentes cr\u00edticas por parte de la prensa y el p\u00fablico consider\u00e1ndola como una de las mejores voces femeninas del panorama espa\u00f1ol.<\/div>\n

En 2007 y de la mano del productor Carlos Jean, Marta lanz\u00f3 su 6.\u00ba \u00e1lbum de estudio Miss S\u00e1nchez. Su primer sencillo \u201cSuperstar\u201d logr\u00f3 una modesta respuesta por parte del p\u00fablico, aun as\u00ed se posicion\u00f3 en las listas de popularidad en Espa\u00f1a. A este tema le sigui\u00f3 el sencillo \u201cLev\u00e1ntate\u201d, pero no fue hasta su tema \u201cReina de la radio\u201d, una versi\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol del tema \u201cNow That I Found Love\u201d de la cantante sueca Agnes Carlsson, que se convirti\u00f3 en un \u00e9xito en discotecas. Para este disco, Marta cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de Alaska y un d\u00fao con el difunto Tino Casal. “Miss S\u00e1nchez” entr\u00f3 directamente al puesto tres de la lista oficial de discos en Espa\u00f1a.<\/div>\n

El 2 de noviembre de 2010, Marta celebr\u00f3 sus 25 a\u00f1os de carrera art\u00edstica con el lanzamiento del \u00e1lbum De par en par, un disco de duetos producido nuevamente por Carlos Jean y que est\u00e1 formado por diversos temas in\u00e9ditos como \u00abCanci\u00f3n para Daniela\u00bb, dedicada a Daniela Spanic, hermana de la actriz Gabriela Spanic, la cual despert\u00f3 de un coma, gracias a la canci\u00f3n \u00abDe mujer a mujer\u00bb”<\/div>\n

Marta S\u00e1nchez contact\u00f3 con el que fue su productor de cabecera en los a\u00f1os 1990 y principios de los 2000, Christian de Walden, al que se sum\u00f3 Tony S\u00e1nchez Ohlsson para la creaci\u00f3n de un nuevo \u00e1lbum. Fue as\u00ed que en junio de 2012 lanza el primer sencillo “Mi cuerpo pide m\u00e1s” producido por Christian de Walden, 1101vs13 y Ed is Dead, y que le acompa\u00f1aba una nueva versi\u00f3n de “No controles”, canci\u00f3n nunca antes grabada por Marta en estudio.<\/div>\n

El 17 de febrero de 2018, en un concierto celebrado en el Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid, interpret\u00f3 el Himno de Espa\u00f1a con una letra in\u00e9dita hasta ese momento y escrita por ella misma, donde hablaba de la nostalgia y la soledad que sent\u00eda al haber vivido sola en Miami durante tres a\u00f1os.<\/div>\n

En la d\u00e9cada de 1980 mantuvo una relaci\u00f3n sentimental con el a la saz\u00f3n bater\u00eda de Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9, Juan Tarodo.46 En 1995, Marta S\u00e1nchez se cas\u00f3 con el empresario de restauraci\u00f3n argentino Jorge Salati, aunque al a\u00f1o siguiente se divorciaron. En 2012 gana el juicio contra la revista Intervi\u00fa ante el Tribunal Supremo que condena a dicha revista a pagar a la cantante la cantidad de 300.500 euros por publicar un desnudo no consentido.<\/div>\n

In 1986 he was part of the Ol\u00e9 Ol\u00e9 group, achieving great success inside and outside of Spain. He made his solo debut in 1993 with the album Mujer. Marta S\u00e1nchez was born on May 8, 1966 in Madrid, the daughter of the Asturian singer Antonio S\u00e1nchez Camporro and the Galician Mar\u00eda Paz L\u00f3pez Pestonit. Since she was little she was surrounded by artists and her godfather was the tenor and singing teacher Alfredo Kraus. At the age of 13 he was already composing songs with his classmate Pedro Perilla and he dedicated several of those songs to the Virgin of his school. Years later, determined to fulfill her dream, she decides to appear on a TVE musical program presented by Torrebruno called: Sabadabad\u00e1. Marta launches her first compilation album entitled The Best Years of Our Life, which includes a double disc, the first CD contains her greatest hits and the second remixed versions.
