Se le considera como un icono musical en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Su legado y trayectoria como cantante le valieron el llegar a ser apodado como El Pr\u00edncipe de la Canci\u00f3n.<\/div>\n

Nacido en una familia de m\u00fasicos, Jos\u00e9 comenz\u00f3 su carrera musical en su adolescencia tocando la guitarra y cantando serenatas. M\u00e1s tarde se uni\u00f3 a un tr\u00edo de jazz y bossa nova donde cant\u00f3 y toc\u00f3 el bajo y el contrabajo. Jos\u00e9 encontr\u00f3 el \u00e9xito como solista a principios de la d\u00e9cada de 1970. Demostrando su habilidad vocal con una impresionante interpretaci\u00f3n de la canci\u00f3n \u00abEl triste\u00bb en el segundo Festival de la Canci\u00f3n Latina celebrado en Ciudad de M\u00e9xico en 1970, subi\u00f3 a las listas latinas durante esa d\u00e9cada. Habiendo logrado el reconocimiento como baladista, su canto obtuvo la aclamaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica universal de sus pares musicales y medios de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/div>\n

En la d\u00e9cada de los ochenta, despu\u00e9s de firmar con Ariola Records, Jos\u00e9 salt\u00f3 a la fama internacional como el artista n\u00famero 1 de M\u00e9xico y como uno de los artistas latinos m\u00e1s populares y talentosos. Seg\u00fan datos de Sony BGM, se estima que Jos\u00e9 Jos\u00e9 vendi\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 85 millones de copias. Con muchos \u00e9xitos internacionales, recibi\u00f3 9 nominaciones Grammy y numerosos reconocimientos en todo el mundo. Agot\u00f3 en lugares como Madison Square Garden y Radio City Music Hall donde se gan\u00f3 el apodo de Mr. Sold Out. Su m\u00fasica lleg\u00f3 a pa\u00edses de habla no espa\u00f1ola como Jap\u00f3n, Israel y Rusia. Tambi\u00e9n forj\u00f3 una carrera como actor, protagonizando en pel\u00edculas como Gavil\u00e1n o paloma (1985), la cual fue una cinta autobiogr\u00e1fica sobre su carrera, y Perd\u00f3name todo (1995). Born into a family of musicians, Jos\u00e9 began his musical career in his teens playing the guitar and singing serenades. He later joined a jazz and bossa nova trio where he sang and played bass and double bass. Jos\u00e9 found success as a solo artist in the early 1970s. Demonstrating his vocal ability with an impressive performance of the song “El triste” at the second Festival de la Canci\u00f3n Latina held in Mexico City in 1970, he rose to the Latin charts. during that decade. Having achieved recognition as a balladeer, his singing garnered universal critical acclaim from his musical peers and the media.<\/div>\n

In the 1980s, after signing with Ariola Records, Jos\u00e9 rose to international fame as Mexico’s number 1 artist and as one of the most popular and talented Latin artists. According to data from Sony BGM, it is estimated that Jos\u00e9 Jos\u00e9 sold more than 85 million copies. With many international successes, he received 9 Grammy nominations and numerous recognitions around the world. He sold out at venues like Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall where he earned the nickname Mr. Sold Out. His music reached non-Spanish speaking countries like Japan, Israel and Russia.
