Es conocida por el mundo de las telenovelas. Es hija de la primera actriz Jacqueline Andere y el director de cine Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez Uns\u00e1in, hermana de Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez “Pirru” y cu\u00f1ada de la cantante Ana B\u00e1rbara; y tambi\u00e9n es cu\u00f1ada de la fallecida actriz Mariana Levy.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Estuvo casada en primeras nupcias con Roberto G\u00f3mez Fern\u00e1ndez, el hijo de Roberto G\u00f3mez Bola\u00f1os “Chespirito” con quien no tuvo descendencia y de quien se divorci\u00f3, vuelta a casar desde el 6 de diciembre de 2008 con el anticuario Enrique Rivero Lake con quien procre\u00f3 a su primera hija, llamada Natalia y quien naci\u00f3 el 7 de marzo de 2009.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Debut\u00f3 como actriz con apenas 16 a\u00f1os en la telenovela juvenil Dulce desaf\u00edo, encarnando a la rival de la protagonista, interpretada por Adela Noriega.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

En 1990, Chantal inicia su carrera como cantante con el \u00e1lbum Regresa, de donde se desprenden canciones como \u201cRegresa\u201d, \u201cTu piel\u201d, “Una de dos”, \u201cVirginia\u201d y \u201cM\u00fasculo\u201d, entre otras, siendo Regresa, M\u00fasculo y Virginia las m\u00e1s destacadas de su \u00e1lbum debut.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

En 1992, lanza su segundo disco titulado Chantal de donde logra el \u00e9xito con temas como “Contigo el amor es mucho m\u00e1s”, “Hey mami”, \u201cD\u00e9jame ser (para ti)\u201d y \u201cEntre t\u00fa y yo\u201d, el cual es seleccionado por el productor Ernesto Alonso como tema de entrada de la telenovela Tri\u00e1ngulo, logrando la popularidad de este sencillo en las listas a finales de 1992.<\/p>\r\n
