Independent finance, production, and sales company EST Studios has announced a partnership with New York and Bangkok-based N8 Studios to represent a slate of Asian films at the major global film markets, including the current Marche du Film at Cannes. The partnership will focus on expanding the slate of premium Thai, Korean, Chinese, and Indonesian films and will look to sell the titles for worldwide territories.
The goal behind the slate is to celebrate the shared vision to bring Asia to the World and forge new partnerships with filmmakers from the East and introduce new premium Asian film and television IP to global audiences.
The first title in the partnership is the Thai hit thriller/horror film Home For Rent, co-produced by N8 Studios and Thailand’s GDH. The film has been widely released theatrically in Asia by GDH and will soon be released in Latin America. The partnership will represent the film in the North America/US territory. EST N8 will seek to replicate the recent creative theatrical marketing successes of Home For Rent on a global scale in each local market through the partnership on the entire slate going forwards.
The deal for the partnership was negotiated by Tenten Wei for EST Studios and by Kris Eiamsakulrat for N8.
