Biografia: fue una actriz germano- francesa nacida en Austria. Realizó una carrera artística destacada. Representó el papel de la emperatriz Isabel de Baviera en la trilogía Sissi, Sissi emperatriz y El destino de Sissi, y recibió el premio César a la mejor actriz en dos oportunidades, por sus interpretaciones en las películas Lo importante es amar (1976) y A Simple Story (Una vida de mujer, 1978).

 

Su primera película la realiza a los 15 años junto a su madre en Lilas blancas, asimismo canta el tema musical de la película. Después de esa película toma el apellido de su madre y cambia su nombre a Romy Schneider.

 

Los jóvenes años de una reina, La panadera y el emperador, Christine, Sissi, Sissi emperatriz y El destino de Sissi, la mayoría ambientadas en la Viena imperial apareciendo junto al actor Karlheinz Böhm en la mayoría de ellas.

 

A partir de 1960 comenzó a trabajar en un cine más maduro compartiendo cartel con actores como Alain Delon y Jack Lemmon, y bajo las órdenes de directores como Claude Sautet, Claude Chabrol, Orson Welles y Luchino Visconti. Con este último rodó Ludwig en 1972, en la que vuelve a interpretar a la emperatriz Sissi.

 

Fallecimiento

Romy Schneider, depresiva, desolada y solitaria, intenta ahogar su pena en el alcohol. El 29 de mayo de 1982, a los 43 años, la encuentran muerta en su apartamento de París

Biography: was a German-French actress born in Austria. He had an outstanding artistic career. She played the role of Empress Isabel de Baviera in the trilogy Sissi, Sissi Empress, and El Destino de Sissi, and received the César Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances in the films What is important is to love (1976) and A Simple Story (A woman’s life, 1978).

 

His first film was made at the age of 15 with his mother in White Lilas, he also sings the musical theme of the film. After that movie he takes his mother’s last name and changes his name to Romy Schneider.

 

The Young Years of a Queen, The Baker and the Emperor, Christine, Sissi, Sissi Empress and The Fate of Sissi, most set in Imperial Vienna appearing alongside actor Karlheinz Böhm in most of them.

 

From 1960 he began to work in a more mature cinema sharing the bill with actors such as Alain Delon and Jack Lemmon, and under the orders of directors such as Claude Sautet, Claude Chabrol, Orson Welles and Luchino Visconti. Ludwig shot with the latter in 1972, in which he again played Empress Sissi.
