Fue una actriz estadounidense, conocida principalmente por su trabajo como Miss Jane Hathaway en la popular serie televisiva The Beverly Hillbillies.

Kulp se graduó en periodismo por la Universidad Estatal de Florida en 1943, hizo un máster en Inglés y Francés en la Universidad de Miami, y formó parte de la Fraternidad Femenina Pi Beta Phi. A principios de los años cuarenta escribía para el Miami Beach Tropics, encargándose de redactar reseñas sobre celebridades como los Duques de Windsor o Clark Gable.

En 1955 entró a formar parte del elenco de The Bob Cummings Show, junto a Bob Cummings, interpretando a Pamela Livingstone.

En 1962 consiguió el papel por el que fue más conocida, el de Jane Hathaway, la solterona de la serie televisiva The Beverly Hillbillies. Ella siguió trabajando en el show hasta el momento de su cancelación en 1971. En 1967 fue nominada por su papel a un Premio Emmy.

Tras The Beverly Hillbillies, Kulp hizo papeles en The Brian Keith Show y en Sanford and Son. Además de la televisión, también hizo algunas actuaciones teatrales en el circuito de Broadway, entre ellas «Morning’s at Seven» en 1981

A Kulp le diagnosticaron un cáncer en 1990, siendo tratada con quimioterapia. En 1991 el cáncer se había diseminado, y Kulp falleció el 3 de febrero en casa de una anemia en Palm Desert, California.

Kulp graduated from Florida State University with a journalism degree in 1943, an MA in English and French from the University of Miami, and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Women’s Fraternity. In the early 1940s he was writing for the Miami Beach Tropics, writing reviews on celebrities like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor or Clark Gable.

In 1955 he joined the cast of The Bob Cummings Show, along with Bob Cummings, playing Pamela Livingstone.

In 1962, she landed the role for which she was best known, that of Jane Hathaway, the spinster on the television series The Beverly Hillbillies. She continued to work on the show until its cancellation in 1971. In 1967 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role.

Following The Beverly Hillbillies, Kulp had roles on The Brian Keith Show and Sanford and Son. In addition to television, he also did some theatrical performances on the Broadway circuit, including «Morning’s at Seven» in 1981.

Kulp was diagnosed with cancer in 1990, and was treated with chemotherapy. By 1991 the cancer had spread, and Kulp died on February 3 at home of anemia in Palm Desert, California.
