MILDRED HARRIS (Cheyenne, Wyoming; 29 de noviembre de 1901 – Hollywood, California; 20 de julio de 1944) fue una actriz estadounidense.

Harris nació en Cheyenne, capital del estado estadounidense de Wyoming, como hija de Harry Harris, operador del telégrafo, y su esposa Anna Parsons Foote.
Sus primeras apariciones en la pantalla fueron a la edad de once años, en el wéstern de 1912 The Post Telegrapher, dirigida por Francis Ford y Thomas Ince. Posteriormente, comenzó a desempeñar papeles juveniles donde solía ser emparejada con el actor Paul Willis, incluyendo apariciones en la serie basada en El maravilloso mago de Oz, de Lyman Frank Baum. His first screen appearances were at the age of eleven, in the 1912 western The Post Telegrapher, directed by Francis Ford and Thomas Ince. Subsequently, she began to play youth roles where she was often paired with actor Paul Willis, including appearances on the series based on Lyman Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Later, she appeared as a harem girl in the famous silent film Intolerance (1916), by D. W. Griffith. She was nicknamed «Innocent Mildred Harris» because of her candid and boyish appearance as a petite girl with blonde curls and blue eyes.
At first, he does not manage to adapt well to talkies, so he mainly dedicates himself to vaudeville and burlesque, touring with comedian Phil Silvers. Even so, she was highly praised for her performance in the 1930 film adaptation of the Broadway musical No, No, Nanette. Equally memorable is her performance in the 1936 Three Stooges comedy Movie Maniacs, where she portrayed a temperamental and demanding movie star.
Harris continued to work in film throughout the 1940s, thanks in large part to the kindness of her former director Cecil B. DeMille, who in 1942 cast her into Reap the Wild Wind (starring Paulette Goddard, who, like that Harris, had been married to Charlie Chaplin), and The Story of Dr. Wassell from 1944. Her last film appearance was in the 1945 film Having A Wonderful Crime. The latter released posthumously.
He died at 42 years of pneumonia, after three weeks of illness, as a consequence of a major surgical intervention in the abdomen. She is buried in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. He has a star on the «Walk of Fame» on Hollywood Boulevard.
