Biografía y carrera
Greene nació en Ottawa, Ontario, hijo de los inmigrantes ruso judíos Daniel y Dora Green.
Lorne Greene comenzó a actuar mientras asistía a la Universidad de Queen en Kingston, donde también adquirió el arte de la locución con el Radio Workshop del gremio dramático universitario y con la estación radial del campus, la CFRC.
