LILLI PALMER, fue una actriz alemana nominada a los Premios Globo de Oro. Mujer polifacética, demostró su talento como escritora, pintora, cantante, presentadora de televisión y, en su juventud, campeona de tenis de mesa.
Su verdadero nombre era Lillie Marie Peiser, y nació en la actual Poznań, Polonia, en aquel momento Posen (Prusia). Su nombre artístico, Palmer, era el de una actriz inglesa que ella admiraba. Sus padres eran Alfred Peiser, un cirujano alemán judío, y Rose Lissman, una actriz teatral austriaca y judía.
En 1930 participó con la selección germana en el campeonato del mundo de tenis de mesa disputado de Berlín, bajo su nombre real, perdiendo frente a la campeona mundial Mária Mednyánszky.

LILLI PALMER, She was a German actress nominated for the Golden Globe Awards. A versatile woman, she demonstrated her talent as a writer, painter, singer, television presenter and, in her youth, a table tennis champion.
Her real name was Lillie Marie Peiser, and she was born in present-day Poznań, Poland, at that time Posen (Prussia). Her stage name, Palmer, was that of an English actress whom she admired. His parents were Alfred Peiser, a Jewish German surgeon, and Rose Lissman, an Austrian and Jewish theater actress.
In 1930 he participated with the German national team in the Berlin table tennis world championship, under his real name, losing to world champion Mária Mednyánszky.
While performing in cabarets, he caught the attention of British talent scouts, who offered him a contract with the Gaumont Film Company. He made his film debut with the film Crime Unlimited (1935), and in the following decade he devoted himself to acting in British cinema – he filmed with Alfred Hitchcock in 1936 -, debuting in English theater in 1936 where he concentrated his career until the end of the Second World War.
She was featured in Caesar and Cleopatra, Observed Venus, Bell Book and Candle, and The Love of the Four Colonels by Peter Ustinov. Harrison and Palmer divorced in 1956. During their marriage Harrison had several affairs, including one with actress Carole Landis, who committed suicide in 1948 as a result of her relationship with the actor.
