LILLA BRIGNONE (Roma, 23 de agosto de 1913 – Roma, 24 de marzo de 1984) fue una célebre actriz italiana de posguerra en cine, teatro, radio y televisión.

 

Biografía y carrera

Fue hija del director Guido Brignone y la actriz Lola Visconti-Brignone y sobrina de la actriz Mercedes Brignone (1885-1967).

Debutó en teatro a los 15 años en la compañía de Kiki Palmer.

Trabajó con grandes directores representativos de la escena italiana de posguerra como Memo BenassiRenzo RicciGiorgio Strehler en el Piccolo Teatro di Milano en Crimen y castigoCasa de muñecasLa tempestadEsta tarde de improvisaLos gigantes de la montañaDon Giovanni, etc2​ Salvo Randone, Vittorio De Sica y Luchino Visconti, que la consideraba la mejor actriz italiana junto a Rina Morelli y con quien hizo La señorita Julia de August Strindberg.

Otras importantes actuaciones fueron en 1963 con In memoria di una signora amica de Giuseppe Patroni Griffi con Pupella MaggioMaría Estuardo de Schiller con Anna ProclemerEspectros de Ibsen.

Con Luca Ronconi hizo Fedra de Seneca en 1969 y en el Teatro Estable de GénovaQuien le teme a Virginia Woolf de Edward Albee, Danza macabra de August Strindberg y La casa de Bernarda Alba de Federico García Lorca.

En 1983 como inolvidable Frola en Así es (si así os parece) que la confirma como una de las grandes intérpretes de Luigi Pirandello.

Murió en 1984 antes de estrenar El zoo de cristal de Tennessee Williams.

Biography and career

She was the daughter of director Guido Brignone and actress Lola Visconti-Brignone and niece of actress Mercedes Brignone (1885-1967).

He made his stage debut at the age of 15 in the Kiki Palmer company.

He worked with great directors representing the post-war Italian scene such as Memo Benassi, Renzo Ricci, Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano in Crime and Punishment, Doll’s House, The Tempest, This Afternoon Suddenly, The Giants of the Mountain, Don Giovanni, etc2 Except for Randone, Vittorio De Sica and Luchino Visconti, who considered her the best Italian actress along with Rina Morelli and with whom she made Miss Julia by August Strindberg.

 

Other important performances were in 1963 with In memoria di una signora amica by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi with Pupella Maggio, María Estuardo by Schiller with Anna Proclemer, Specters by Ibsen.

 

With Luca Ronconi he made Fedra de Seneca in 1969 and at the Stable Theater in Genoa, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee, Danza Macabra by August Strindberg and La casa de Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca.

In 1983 as unforgettable Frola in Así es (if you think so) that confirms her as one of the great interpreters of Luigi Pirandello.

 

He died in 1984 before releasing The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams.
