FRANK FAYLEN (nacido Charles Francis Ruf ,8 de diciembre de 1905 – 2 de agosto de 1985) fue un actor de cine y televisión estadounidense.

 

Biografía y carrera

Nacido en St. Louis, Missouri , Faylen comenzó su carrera como actor cuando era un bebé que aparece con su vodevil -Realizar los padres en el escenario. La familia vivía en un showboat, y actuó durante su juventud.

 

Faylen se convirtió en actor de teatro a los 18 años y finalmente comenzó a trabajar en películas en la década de 1930. Comenzó a interpretar varios papeles para Warner Bros., luego trabajó como autónomo para otros estudios en roles de personajes gradualmente más importantes. Apareció como el director musical de Walt Disney en The Reluctant Dragon y como un severo funcionario ferroviario en la comedia de Laurel y Hardy A-Haunting We Will Go . Faylen, Laurel y el jugador de reparto de Hardy , Charlie Hall , formaron equipo brevemente con Monogram Pictures.

FRANK FAYLEN (born Charles Francis Ruf, December 8, 1905 – August 2, 1985) was an American film and television actor.

 

Biography and career

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Faylen began his acting career as a baby appearing with his Vaudeville -Performing Parents on stage. The family lived on a showboat, and performed during their youth.

 

Faylen became a stage actor at age 18 and finally began working in films in the 1930s. He began playing various roles for Warner Bros., then freelanced for other studios in gradually more important character roles. He appeared as Walt Disney’s musical director on The Reluctant Dragon and as a stern railroad official in the Laurel and Hardy comedy A-Haunting We Will Go. Faylen, Laurel, and Hardy’s supporting player Charlie Hall briefly teamed up with Monogram Pictures.

 

Faylen died of pneumonia in Burbank, California, in 1985. He was buried in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, Los Angeles, California.
