Considerado uno de los actores y cineastas más icónicos e influyentes del cine, adquirió fama tras dirigir su filme Easy Rider, una de las mejores películas del cine estadounidense. Hopper ayudó a iniciar una nueva era en la que las viejas figuras de Hollywood debieron ceder lugar a jóvenes cineastas como Francis Ford Coppola y Martin Scorsese.
También es reconocido como pintor, poeta y fotógrafo, cuyas exposiciones (sobre todo en la galería de Monika Mohr en Hamburgo y en la Ace Gallery de Los Ángeles) fueron vistas por millones de personas.
Durante su carrera, Dennis Hopper trabajó en más de 150 películas. Debutó ante las cámaras con un pequeño papel en la película Johnny Guitar, pero su nombre no aparece en los créditos. Considered one of the most iconic and influential actors and filmmakers in cinema, he gained fame after directing his film Easy Rider, one of the best films in American cinema. Hopper helped usher in a new era in which old Hollywood figures had to give way to young filmmakers like Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese.
He is also recognized as a painter, poet and photographer, whose exhibitions (notably at the Monika Mohr gallery in Hamburg and the Ace Gallery in Los Angeles) were seen by millions of people.
During his career, Dennis Hopper has worked on more than 150 films. He made his debut before the cameras with a small role in the film Johnny Guitar, but his name does not appear in the credits. It was on an episode of Medic in 1955, where he played a young epileptic, that his name first appeared on the screens. But it is with James Dean, whom he admired immensely, that his film career really begins.
