BRIAN MANION DENNEHY (Bridgeport, Connecticut, 9 de julio de 1938–New Haven, Connecticut, 15 de abril de 2020) fue un actor estadounidense, popular en gran medida por sus numerosos papeles secundarios como villano en películas de acción y thrillers. Pero también fue un experimentado actor de teatro ganador de dos premios Tony, y su trabajo en televisión le reportó un Globo de Oro.

Su carrera arrancó en la década de 1970 con películas de cierto riesgo creativo como Looking for Mr. Goodbar (con Diane Keaton). Su rostro se hizo popular con títulos de éxito comercial como 10, la mujer perfecta (1979), que lanzó a la fama a Bo Derek, First Blood (Rambo I) (1982), protagonizada por Sylvester Stallone, y la saga de comedias de ciencia ficción Cocoon.
Otros títulos a destacar de aquella época son F/X y Peligrosamente juntos (con Robert Redford y Debra Winger), ambas de 1986. También participó en proyectos como el wéstern Silverado (1985), de Lawrence Kasdan, película valorada como un clásico moderno del cine, y El vientre del arquitecto (1987), de Peter Greenaway.
Tras volcarse más en el cine comercial, en 1990 recuperó pujanza con Presumed Innocent, junto a Harrison Ford, y en 1994 rodó Camino de la fortuna, película producida por Clint Eastwood y donde Dennehy compartió protagonismo con Robert Duvall.
Muerte

But he was also a seasoned Tony Award-winning stage actor, and his television work earned him a Golden Globe.
Biography and career
His career began in the 1970s with films of some creative risk such as Looking for Mr. Goodbar (with Diane Keaton). Her face became popular with commercially successful titles such as 10, The Perfect Woman (1979), which launched Bo Derek to fame, First Blood (Rambo I) (1982), starring Sylvester Stallone, and the comedy series by sci-fi Cocoon.
Other notable titles from that time are F / X and Dangerously Together (with Robert Redford and Debra Winger), both from 1986. He also participated in projects such as Lawrence Kasdan’s Western Silverado (1985), a film valued as a modern classic of the cinema, and The belly of the architect (1987), by Peter Greenaway.
After turning more into commercial cinema, in 1990 he regained his strength with Presumed Innocent, along with Harrison Ford, and in 1994 he shot Road to Fortune, a film produced by Clint Eastwood and where Dennehy shared the limelight with Robert Duvall.
