Carol’s Back in Action in ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Season 2 Teaser

A new look has been revealed for the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

In the first season of the Walking Dead spinoff series, Norman Reedus led the cast with his return as Daryl Dixon. He was joined by Melissa McBride, who reprised her role as Carol Peletier. Carol will play a much bigger role in the second season, with the show now titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol. The new season will debut on AMC and AMC+ this summer, and an early look can be seen by watching the new sneak peek below.

The new season, The Book of Carol, picks up directly from where the first season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off. Per AMC, the new season will see both Daryl and Carol “confront old demons while she fights to find her friend, and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest.”

Along with Reedus and McBride, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol stars Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney. Showrunner David Zabel executive produces alongside Reedus, McBride, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman, and Steve Squillante.

Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride have been a part of The Walking Dead since its very first season. While the main series ended in 2022, the franchise lives on with multiple spinoffs, including Daryl Dixon. Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan also returned as Maggie and Negan, respectively, in their own spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Dead City. Both Daryl Dixon and Dead City were given renewals for second seasons at the same time.

Meanwhile, the newest spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, brought back Rick Grimes and Michonne, with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprising their respective roles. The six-episode series wrapped up on Sunday, and it’s not yet clear if there will be a continuation.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol will premiere in summer 2024 on AMC and AMC+.
