Rodolfo P\u00e1ez, m\u00e1s conocido como Fito P\u00e1ez, es un m\u00fasico y compositor argentino de rock. Tambi\u00e9n es director y guionista de cine. Por la calidad y repercusi\u00f3n de sus obras musicales es considerado uno de los m\u00e1ximos compositores de rock de la Argentina, junto a Charly Garc\u00eda, Luis Alberto Spinetta y Andr\u00e9s Calamaro. Su disco El amor despu\u00e9s del amor, editado en 1992, es el m\u00e1s vendido en la historia del rock argentino.<\/div>\n

Rodolfo “Fito” P\u00e1ez naci\u00f3 en Rosario, el mi\u00e9rcoles 13 de marzo de 1963. Hijo de Margarita Zulema \u00c1valos (pianista concertista, profesora de aritm\u00e9tica y \u00e1lgebra) y de Rodolfo P\u00e1ez (empleado municipal).<\/div>\n

La casa de calle Balcarce 861 ubicada en el macro centro rosarino recibi\u00f3 al peque\u00f1o llena de sonidos de m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica europea, con su madre tocando Brahms y Liszt en el piano de concierto colocado en el living.<\/div>\n

Pasaron solo ocho meses y su madre, con s\u00f3lo 33 a\u00f1os, muri\u00f3 tras padecer un c\u00e1ncer en el h\u00edgado, por lo que su crianza qued\u00f3 en manos de su padre, de su abuela paterna Delia Zulema Ram\u00edrez viuda de P\u00e1ez, a quien el peque\u00f1o “Rodolfito” bautizar\u00eda como “Belia”, y de su t\u00eda abuela, Josefa P\u00e1ez.<\/div>\n

Curs\u00f3 la primaria en la escuela p\u00fablica Mariano Moreno, en calle Paraguay llegando a calle 3 de Febrero. De chiquito concurr\u00eda en transporte escolar y luego sigui\u00f3 asistiendo trep\u00e1ndose al colectivo 200.<\/div>\n

En marzo de 1976, una semana antes del golpe militar en Argentina, comienza la secundaria en un famoso instituto educativo privado de la ciudad, la escuela Dante Alighieri. Era un alumno regular y sufri\u00f3 el castigo de las amonestaciones -el pelo largo, el cigarrillo y no callarse la boca cuando cre\u00eda que ten\u00eda raz\u00f3n, le hicieron vivir varios malos momentos-.<\/div>\n

A los 14 a\u00f1os ya luc\u00eda anteojos para contrarrestar la miop\u00eda, cuando se enamor\u00f3 de Miriam, su primer novia, una compa\u00f1era del curso con la que vivi\u00f3 un amor\u00edo de ni\u00f1os. Besos, cine y paseos por el Parque Urquiza de Rosario.<\/div>\n

A esa edad comenz\u00f3 a tomar clases de piano en el Instituto Scaraf\u00eda ubicado frente a su casa, aunque ya sabia tocar desde peque\u00f1o. Ten\u00eda un m\u00e9todo de estudio muy particular, memoria y o\u00eddo, no le\u00eda partituras, aunque su profesor siempre pens\u00f3 lo contrario. Su talento comenz\u00f3 a notarse muy pronto. Cuando terminaba la clase volv\u00eda presuroso a su casa para ejecutar la \u00faltima lecci\u00f3n aprendida. Su breve aprendizaje musical de casi un a\u00f1o, se complet\u00f3 con las clases particulares que dictaba la se\u00f1ora de Bustos en su domicilio.<\/div>\n

Luego de incurrir unos a\u00f1os en el folclore, termin\u00f3 con todo eso y se dedic\u00f3 a hacer la m\u00fasica que realmente le gustaba.- Lleg\u00f3 el rock, la influencia de Los Beatles, Deep Purple, Arco Iris, Charly Garcia, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Litto Nebbia entre otros.<\/div>\n

El 9 de diciembre de 1980, la abuela Zulma lo despert\u00f3 con la noticia de que en la radio difund\u00edan el asesinato de John Lennon. Ese d\u00eda, Fito deb\u00eda rendir un par de ex\u00e1menes en el colegio que a\u00fan debe para obtener el t\u00edtulo de bachiller.<\/div>\n

El primer grupo fue un tr\u00edo de folclore amateur sin nombre que formaron con dos amigos del colegio para tocar en los actos. En esa oportunidad P\u00e1ez acompa\u00f1aba tocando un bombo que el padre le hab\u00eda comprado durante unas vacaciones por el norte argentino.<\/div>\n
La primer banda de rock tambi\u00e9n la form\u00f3 en los recreos del colegio junto a dos compa\u00f1eros. Fito sentado al piano junto a Ricardo Vilaseca y Patricio Prieto con guitarras ac\u00fasticas, interpretaban temas de Sui Generis en el patio del colegio.<\/div>\n

En 1980 formar\u00eda Staff, la primera banda con la que pudo ganarse el respeto de los m\u00fasicos de la zona. \u00c9l era el l\u00edder y compositor de casi todos los temas. Aunque el \u00e9xito de grupo era una tema llamado “La Traves\u00eda” con autor\u00eda de Germ\u00e1n Risemberg, bajista del grupo y ex integrante de “Neolalia”. Fito P\u00e1ez cantaba y tocaba el piano el\u00e9ctrico que transportaba en colectivo hasta los ensayos ya que era prestado. El mayor logro obtenido por Staff fue ganar el primer premio del concurso “M\u00fasica Progresiva”, que contaba entre el jurado al m\u00fasico Juan Carlos Baglietto. All\u00ed P\u00e1ez logr\u00f3 que m\u00e1s de un m\u00fasico se interesara en su trabajo.<\/div>\n

El 8 de diciembre de 2004 sale a la venta Mi vida con ellas, un disco doble con 18 canciones grabadas en vivo en distintos recitales, que incluye c\u00f3vers y temas de su autor\u00eda.<\/div>\n

El 21 de septiembre de 2006 sale a la venta El mundo cabe en una canci\u00f3n grabado entre junio y agosto de est\u00e9 a\u00f1o en sus estudios propios de Rosario. El disco incluye 11 canciones nuevas escritas por P\u00e1ez y una en colaboraci\u00f3n con Coki Debernardi.<\/div>\n

Rodolfo P\u00e1ez, better known as Fito P\u00e1ez, is an Argentine rock musician and composer. He’s also director and film storyboard maker. Due to the quality and repercussion of his musical works, he is considered one of the greatest rock composers in Argentina, along with Charly Garc\u00eda, Luis Alberto Spinetta and Andr\u00e9s Calamaro. His album Love after love, released in 1992, is the best-selling in the history of Argentine rock.<\/p>\n

Rodolfo “Fito” P\u00e1ez was born in Rosario on Wednesday, March 13, 1963. Son of Margarita Zulema \u00c1valos (concert pianist, arithmetic and algebra teacher) and Rodolfo P\u00e1ez (municipal employee).<\/p>\n

The house at 861 Balcarce Street located in the macro center of Rosario received the little boy full of sounds of classical European music, with his mother playing Brahms and Liszt on the concert piano placed in the living room.<\/p>\n

Only eight months passed and his mother, only 33 years old, died after suffering from liver cancer, so his upbringing remained in the hands of his father, his paternal grandmother Delia Zulema Ram\u00edrez, widow of P\u00e1ez, to whom the little ” Rodolfito” would baptize as “Belia”, and from his great-aunt, Josefa P\u00e1ez.<\/p>\n

He attended elementary school at the Mariano Moreno public school, on Calle Paraguay, reaching Calle 3 de Febrero. As a child, he used to take school transport and then he continued to attend, climbing the 200 bus.<\/p>\n

In March 1976, a week before the military coup in Argentina, he started high school at a famous private educational institute in the city, the Dante Alighieri school. He was a regular student and suffered the punishment of reprimands -long hair, cigarettes and not shutting up when he thought he was right, made him experience several bad moments-.<\/p>\n

At the age of 14, he was already wearing glasses to counteract myopia, when he fell in love with Miriam, his first girlfriend, a classmate with whom he had an affair as children. Kisses, movies and walks through the Urquiza Park in Rosario.<\/p>\n

At that age he began to take piano lessons at the Scaraf\u00eda Institute located in front of his house, although he already knew how to play since he was a child. He had a very particular method of study, memory and hearing, he did not read scores, although his teacher always thought otherwise. His talent began to be noticed very soon. When the class finished, he rushed home to execute the last lesson learned. His brief musical apprenticeship of almost a year was completed with private classes given by Mrs. de Bustos at her home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After incurring a few years in folklore, he ended all that and dedicated himself to making the music that he really liked.- Rock came, the influence of The Beatles, Deep Purple, Arco Iris, Charly Garcia, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Litto Nebia among others.<\/p>\n

On December 9, 1980, Grandma Zulma woke him up with the news that the murder of John Lennon was broadcast on the radio. That day, Fito had to take a couple of exams at school that he still has to take to obtain his bachelor’s degree.<\/p>\n

The first group was an unnamed amateur folklore trio that they formed with two friends from school to play at the acts. On that occasion P\u00e1ez accompanied playing a bass drum that his father had bought him during a vacation in northern Argentina.
\nThe first rock band was also formed at school breaks with two classmates. Fito sat at the piano with Ricardo Vilaseca and Patricio Prieto with acoustic guitars, performing Sui Generis songs in the schoolyard.<\/p>\n

In 1980 he would form Staff, the first band with which he was able to earn the respect of the musicians in the area. He was the leader and composer of almost all the songs. Although the success of the group was a song called “La Traves\u00eda” written by Germ\u00e1n Risemberg, bassist of the group and former member of “Neolalia”. Fito P\u00e1ez sang and played the electric piano that he transported by bus to rehearsals since it was borrowed. Staff’s greatest achievement was winning the first prize in the “Progressive Music” contest, which included musician Juan Carlos Baglietto among the jury. There, P\u00e1ez managed to get more than one musician interested in his work.<\/p>\n

On December 8, 2004, Mi vida con las goes on sale, a double disc with 18 songs recorded live in different recitals, which includes covers and songs of his own.<\/p>\n

In mid-2006 his third film project as a director is in post-production stage, it is a comedy of entanglements with the tentative title Whose garter belt?.<\/p>\n

On September 21, 2006, El mundo fits in a song goes on sale, recorded between June and August of this year in his own studios in Rosario. The album includes 11 new songs written by P\u00e1ez and one in collaboration with Coki Debernardi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
