Biograf\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n

Olga naci\u00f3 en 1928 en Quimil\u00ed, Santiago del Estero, Argentina,3\u200b4\u200b su padre fue ganadero. Desde muy peque\u00f1a estuvo relacionada al canto, ya que su abuelo y sus t\u00edos sol\u00edan cantar y entonar instrumentos musicales los fines de semana. Ten\u00eda dos a\u00f1os de edad cuando se subi\u00f3 por primera vez a cantar a un escenario en su pueblo natal.<\/p>\n

Carrera<\/strong><\/p>\n

A los 18 comenz\u00f3 a cantar profesionalmente, present\u00e1ndose en una cafeter\u00eda durante dos semanas, luego viaj\u00f3 a Brasil y m\u00e1s tarde a Venezuela, recorriendo varios pa\u00edses de Sudam\u00e9rica haciendo presentaciones. Lleg\u00f3 a Ecuador en 1962,4\u200b contratada por el gobierno de Carlos Julio Arosemena Monroy, donde cant\u00f3 en honor del Duque de Edimburgo, esposo de la reina Isabel II,3\u200b sin embargo ella estaba interesada en viajar a M\u00e9xico y realizar pel\u00edculas con Tony Aguilar. Hizo amistad con el tr\u00edo Los latinos del Andes, integrado por Eduardo Erazo, H\u00e9ctor Jaramillo y Homero Hidrovo.<\/p>\n

Grab\u00f3 con la Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Managua, luego viaj\u00f3 a Panam\u00e1 despu\u00e9s que Eduardo Erazo le dijo que se encontraba con el tr\u00edo Los latinos del Andes trabajando gratis, y se los llev\u00f3 a Managua donde grabaron sus temas. Luego los llev\u00f3 a M\u00e9xico donde formaron el grupo Los Brillantes, trabajaron durante 1 a\u00f1o y despu\u00e9s recorrieron Venezuela y Panam\u00e1. Con el grupo se mantuvo durante la d\u00e9cada de 1960 y 1970, con presentaciones en New York, Bogot\u00e1, San Jos\u00e9 de Costa Rica, M\u00e9xico DF, entre otros. Grabaron varios discos con temas como Horas de pasi\u00f3n, Te digo coraz\u00f3n, Esta pena m\u00eda, Vasija de barro. M\u00e1s tarde regres\u00f3 a Ecuador como solista y con ayuda de Ernesto Alb\u00e1n realiz\u00f3 presentaciones diversos pueblos del pa\u00eds. Se nacionaliz\u00f3 ecuatoriana en 2004, debido a su permanencia como residente en el pa\u00eds y su agrado por el trabajo en conjunto con Alb\u00e1n y la m\u00fasica nacional (pasillo). Tambi\u00e9n form\u00f3 un d\u00fao con Kiko Gonz\u00e1lez llamado Olga y Kiko, realizando giras en Estados Unidos y Europa.<\/p>\n

En 1966 represent\u00f3 al Ecuador en el Festival of Music And Song, en Hollywood, en el que gan\u00f3 la Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

En 2003 le fue detectado diabetes y debido a esto, en 2008 le fue amputada la pierna derecha. En 2005 fue nombrada Embajadora de la M\u00fasica Nacional y galardonada con el premio Rosa Campuzano.4\u200b El 14 de octubre de 2010 fue galardonada como Reina del Pasillo ecuatoriano, por la agrupaci\u00f3n cultural Los Trovadores.2\u200b En 2011 se present\u00f3 junto a Juan Fernando Velasco donde interpret\u00f3 su tema Acu\u00e9rdate de mi.<\/p>\n

Vida personal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuvo una relaci\u00f3n con H\u00e9ctor Jaramillo y estuvo casada durante 39 a\u00f1os con Kiko Gonz\u00e1lez.2\u200b<\/p>\n

Muerte<\/strong><\/p>\n

Falleci\u00f3 el 10 de marzo de 2015, en el Hospital del Seguro de la ciudad de Guayaquil, por un edema pulmonar y bronconeumon\u00eda, complicaciones m\u00e9dicas producidas por la diabetes que llevaba padeciendo hace m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n

Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n

Olga was born in 1928 in Quimil\u00ed, Santiago del Estero, Argentina,34 her father was a rancher. From a very young age she was related to singing, since her grandfather and her uncles used to sing and sing musical instruments on weekends. He was two years old when he first went on stage to sing in his hometown.<\/p>\n

Race<\/strong><\/p>\n

At 18 he began to sing professionally, performing in a coffee shop for two weeks, then he traveled to Brazil and later to Venezuela, touring several countries in South America making presentations. She arrived in Ecuador in 1962,4 contracted by the government of Carlos Julio Arosemena Monroy, where she sang in honor of the Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth II,3 however she was interested in traveling to Mexico and making films with Tony Aguilar. He made friends with the trio Los Latinos del Andes, made up of Eduardo Erazo, H\u00e9ctor Jaramillo and Homero Hidrovo.<\/p>\n

He recorded with the Managua Symphony Orchestra, then traveled to Panama after Eduardo Erazo told him that he was with the Los Latinos del Andes trio working for free, and he took them to Managua where they recorded their songs. Then he took them to Mexico where they formed the group Los Brillantes, they worked for 1 year and then toured Venezuela and Panama.<\/p>\n

He remained with the group during the 1960s and 1970s, with presentations in New York, Bogot\u00e1, San Jos\u00e9 de Costa Rica, Mexico City, among others. They recorded several albums with songs like Hours of passion, I tell you my heart, This sorrow of mine, Clay vessel. Later he returned to Ecuador as a soloist and with the help of Ernesto Alb\u00e1n he made presentations to various towns in the country. She became an Ecuadorian national in 2004, due to her permanence as a resident in the country and her pleasure in working together with Alb\u00e1n and national music (corridor). He also formed a duo with Kiko Gonz\u00e1lez called Olga y Kiko, touring in the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n

In 1966 he represented Ecuador at the Festival of Music And Song, in Hollywood, where he won the Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

In 2003 diabetes was detected and due to this, in 2008 his right leg was amputated. In 2005 she was named Ambassador of National Music and awarded the Rosa Campuzano award.4 On October 14, 2010 she was awarded Queen of the Ecuadorian Pasillo, by the cultural group Los Trovadores.2 In 2011 she performed with Juan Fernando Velasco where he performed his song Remember me.<\/p>\n
