Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri (San Juan, Puerto Rico; 19 de abril de 1970), apodado a veces como el Sol de M\u00e9xico, es un cantante y productor musical mexicano, nacido en Puerto Rico. Es considerado como uno de los artistas m\u00e1s grandes y exitosos de Am\u00e9rica Latina por su amplia gama de estilos musicales, incluyendo funk, pop, baladas, boleros, tangos, jazz, big band y mariachi. Tambi\u00e9n es reconocido como el \u00fanico cantante latino de su generaci\u00f3n que no se cruza con el mercado anglosaj\u00f3n durante la “Explosi\u00f3n latina” en la d\u00e9cada de 1990.13 A pesar de cantar solo en espa\u00f1ol, continu\u00f3 siendo el artista latino m\u00e1s vendido en la d\u00e9cada de los 90, y se le atribuy\u00f3 la popularizaci\u00f3n del g\u00e9nero bolero en el mercado general.14 Ha vendido m\u00e1s de 100 millones de discos en todo el mundo.<\/div>\n

Comenz\u00f3 su carrera musical en M\u00e9xico en 1980 cantando en la boda de la hija del presidente nacional mexicano de aquel entonces. Ha ganado m\u00e1s de 120 premios a t\u00edtulo personal, por sus canciones y \u00e1lbumes, y es el cantante m\u00e1s joven en recibir un Grammy, con 14 a\u00f1os de edad.17 En 1991, la RIAA reconoci\u00f3 las altas ventas de su \u00e1lbum de 1991 Romance, siendo el tercer \u00e1lbum de m\u00fasica m\u00e1s vendido en M\u00e9xico, y uno de los \u00e1lbumes en espa\u00f1ol m\u00e1s vendidos de todos los tiempos.18 Fue el primer artista latino que recibi\u00f3 dos discos de platino entre otros por canciones y \u00e1lbumes individuales. En octubre de 2011 es proclamado como el mejor artista latino de los \u00faltimos 25 a\u00f1os seg\u00fan la Revista Billboard. Su \u00e1lbum C\u00f3mplices fue lanzado en 2008 y lleg\u00f3 al N\u00famero 10 en el Billboard Top 200, que es la posici\u00f3n m\u00e1s alta que ha alcanzado un \u00e1lbum completamente espa\u00f1ol. Con el Luis Miguel Tour, que tuvo lugar en 2010, visit\u00f3 22 pa\u00edses en Am\u00e9rica y Europa, donde se present\u00f3 en un per\u00edodo de tres a\u00f1os con un total de 223 espect\u00e1culos en todo el mundo, por lo que es el m\u00e1s largo tour de recaudaci\u00f3n realizado por un artista latino. Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri (San Juan, Puerto Rico; April 19, 1970), sometimes nicknamed the Sun of Mexico, is a Mexican singer and music producer, born in Puerto Rico. He is considered one of the largest and most successful artists in Latin America for his wide range of musical styles, including funk, pop, ballads, boleros, tangos, jazz, big band, and mariachi. He is also recognized as the only Latin singer of his generation who did not interbreed with the Anglo-Saxon market during the “Latin Explosion” in the 1990s.13 Despite singing only in Spanish, he continued to be the best-selling Latin artist in the 1990s. 90, and was credited with popularizing the bolero genre in the general market.14 He has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.<\/div>\n

With the Luis Miguel Tour, which took place in 2010, he visited 22 countries in America and Europe, where he performed in a period of three years with a total of 223 shows around the world, making it the longest grossing tour. made by a latin artist.
