Fue un compositor y cantante espa\u00f1ol. En 1978 form\u00f3 junto a su primo Nacho Garc\u00eda Vega el grupo Nacha Pop, originado en otra banda, Uhu Helicopter, de la que proven\u00edan ambos. Su disco de presentaci\u00f3n se edit\u00f3 en 1980, separ\u00e1ndose el grupo en 1988 tras una exitosa carrera con seis \u00e1lbumes de estudio y uno en directo. Vega comenz\u00f3 entonces su carrera como solista, en la que editar\u00eda cinco discos de estudio, un \u00e1lbum en directo y un recopilatorio de colaboraciones con otros artistas.<\/div>\n

Antonio Vega ha sido considerado uno de los compositores fundamentales del pop espa\u00f1ol desde la llegada de la democracia. El intimismo de sus canciones y su sensibilidad le ganaron la admiraci\u00f3n de cr\u00edtica y p\u00fablico.<\/div>\n

Antonio Vega naci\u00f3 en Madrid el 16 de diciembre de 1957, siendo el tercero de una familia de siete hijos. En 1975 inicia estudios universitarios de arquitectura, aunque lo dej\u00f3 al segundo a\u00f1o. Posteriormente cursa dos a\u00f1os de sociolog\u00eda y en la escuela de pilotos, pero ninguna de estas carreras despierta su entusiasmo. Lo \u00fanico que lo consigue es la m\u00fasica.<\/div>\n

En 1977 realiza el servicio militar en Valencia y un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s se forma Nacha Pop, junto a Nacho Garc\u00eda Vega (primo de Antonio Vega). Adem\u00e1s, Antonio Vega crea uno de sus mejores temas, el que lleva por t\u00edtulo ‘Chica de ayer’.<\/div>\n

Tras presentar sus maquetas por varias discogr\u00e1ficas, la firma Hispavox les contrata para publicar su primer \u00e1lbum (‘Nacha Pop’), con Teddy bautista como productor.<\/div>\n

Nacha Pop fue considerado como uno de los grandes grupos que ha dado este pa\u00eds. A ese primer \u00e1lbum le siguieron otros con t\u00edtulos como ‘Buena disposici\u00f3n’, ‘M\u00e1s n\u00fameros, otras letras’, ‘Una d\u00e9cima de segundo’, ‘Dibujos animados’ y ‘El momento’.<\/div>\n

En 1988 las diferencias entre Antonio Vega y Nacho Garc\u00eda Vega hacen que el grupo decida su disoluci\u00f3n, no sin antes publicar un doble disco en concierto, titulado ‘Nacha Pop: 80-88’ que, sin plante\u00e1rselo, resulta ser el mayor \u00e9xito de Nacha Pop.<\/div>\n

En 1991 Antonio Vega publica su primer trabajo en solitario, titulado ‘No me ir\u00e9 ma\u00f1ana’ y en 1993 un recopilatorio titulado ‘El sitio de mi recreo’, con doce temas compuestos por Antonio, tanto en su etapa con Nacha Pop como en su etapa en solitario.<\/div>\n

En 1994 public\u00f3 ‘Oc\u00e9ano de sol’, y fue seguido por una gira por toda Espa\u00f1a, como demostraci\u00f3n de que, a pesar de los rumores que circulaban, Antonio Vega se encontraba en perfecto estado de salud.<\/div>\n

Los siguientes cuatro a\u00f1os estuvieron dedicados a colaborar con otros artistas y participar en conciertos de homenaje. En 1996 ofrece un concierto en Madrid en el que colaboran sus antiguos compa\u00f1eros en Nacha Pop, incluyendo a Nacha Garc\u00eda Vega, con el que interpreta a d\u00fao el tema ‘Nadie puede parar’.<\/div>\n

En 1998 publica un nuevo trabajo, ‘Anatom\u00eda de una ola’, y en 2001 ‘De un lugar perdido’, que le vali\u00f3 para ser nominado para los Grammys latinos.<\/div>\n

A finales de 2002 sale a la luz el disco ‘B\u00e1sico’, un directo grabado un a\u00f1o antes para los 40 principales, en el que se recoge lo mejor de Antonio Vega.<\/div>\n

Los \u00faltimos discos publicados por Antonio Vega fueron ‘Escapadas’ (2004), el recopilatorio ‘Autorretratos: Lo mejor de Antonio Vega’ (2004) y ‘3.000 noches con Marga’ (2005), un \u00e1lbum dedicado a su pareja y compa\u00f1era art\u00edstica Marga del R\u00edo, fallecida un a\u00f1o antes.<\/div>\n

Was a Spanish composer and singer. Vega then began his career as a soloist, in which he would edit five studio albums, a live album and a compilation of collaborations with other artists.<\/div>\n
