Naci\u00f3 en Guayaquil, el 15 de diciembre de 1951. Pertenece a una familia de artistas; su madre Fresia Saavedra G\u00f3mez, es una reconocida artista y cantante de m\u00fasica ecuatoriana; lo mismo que su padre Washington Murillo, era m\u00fasico; quienes la iniciaron en el inter\u00e9s por la interpretaci\u00f3n musical.<\/div>\n

Siendo a\u00fan ni\u00f1a, ya realiz\u00f3 su primera grabaci\u00f3n de melod\u00edas infantiles, como: \u201cEl ratoncito Miguel\u201d; y la \u201cMarcha de las letras\u201d.<\/div>\n

Cuando do\u00f1a Fresia Saavedra era ya toda una estrella de la m\u00fasica ecuatoriana, llevaba a su hija Hilda como acompa\u00f1ante a los estudios de grabaci\u00f3n, en donde la ni\u00f1a se familiariz\u00f3 con el ambiente art\u00edstico y musical y se interes\u00f3 por grabar otra canci\u00f3n, titulada \u201cLa canci\u00f3n de los domingos\u201d la que fue grabada por el sello ONIX, cuyo deseo result\u00f3 un gran \u00e9xito y se constituye en el inicio de una carrera luminosa, en donde la Princesita de la Canci\u00f3n, como fue bautizada por el popular hombre de radio Sr. Rafael Fout en los Estados Unidos, pa\u00eds del que Hilda Murillo ha viajado con frecuencia para cumplir compromisos art\u00edsticos y realizar grabaciones con varios disquera que se interesaban por su producci\u00f3n musical.<\/div>\n

Estaba casada con el fallecido promotor art\u00edstico P\u00edo Cupelo, quien junto a su esposa Hilda Murillo y do\u00f1a Fresia Saavedra, organizaban programas art\u00edsticos y presentaciones de artistas nacionales en escenarios nacionales e internacionales.<\/div>\n

Hilda Murillo, por su cuenta y tambi\u00e9n junto a su madre Fresia Saavedra han realizado producciones discogr\u00e1ficas y han grabado numerosas canciones que se han popularizado en el p\u00fablico ecuatoriano, adem\u00e1s de Espa\u00f1a, Italia y Estados Unidos con la comunidad ecuatoriana de residentes en esos pa\u00edses.<\/div>\n

Hilda Murillo Saavedra, ha representado al Ecuador en el Festival OTI (1974) en M\u00e9xico. En su juventud estudi\u00f3 medicina, pero se retir\u00f3 cuando cursaba el tercer a\u00f1o para dedicarse a la actividad musical.<\/div>\n

Con su estilo muy propio, ha interpretado con su melodiosa voz numerosas canciones en varios g\u00e9neros: rom\u00e1ntico, bolero, ranchera, vals y tambi\u00e9n temas de m\u00fasica nacional. Un tema que se populariz\u00f3 en el ambiente art\u00edstico, ha sido \u201cPalabras, palabras\u201d (1970) Ella expresa:<\/div>\n

\u201cEn mis shows, trato de compartir con el p\u00fablico temas nuevos, no obstante siempre me piden los mismos temas\u201d.<\/div>\n

La artista se mantiene en permanente actividad art\u00edstica y musical, sea en su show de la TV, en escenarios con asistencia masiva de p\u00fablico y en otros exclusivos, como en la \u201cPosada de las Garzas\u201d (Circunvalaci\u00f3n Norte 536; Urdesa en Guayaquil).<\/div>\n

He was born in Guayaquil on December 15, 1951. He belongs to a family of artists; his mother, Fresia Saavedra G\u00f3mez, is a renowned artist and singer of Ecuadorian music; like his father Washington Murillo, he was a musician; who imitated it in the interest for musical interpretation.<\/p>\n

While still a child, she already made her first recording of children’s melodies, such as: \u201cEl Ratoncito Miguel\u201d; and the \u201cMarch of the letters\u201d.<\/p>\n

When Do\u00f1a Fresia Saavedra was already a star of Ecuadorian music, she took her daughter Hilda as a companion to the recording studios, where the girl became familiar with the artistic and musical environment and became interested in recording another song, entitled “La song of Sundays “which was recorded by the ONIX label, whose wish was a great success and constitutes the beginning of a luminous career, where the Little Princess of the Song, as she was baptized by the popular radio man Mr. Rafael Fout in the United States, a country from which Hilda Murillo has traveled frequently to fulfill artistic commitments and make recordings with various record companies that were interested in her musical production.<\/p>\n

She was married to the late artistic promoter P\u00edo Cupelo, who together with his wife Hilda Murillo and Mrs. Fresia Saavedra, organized artistic programs and presentations of national artists on national and international stages.<\/p>\n

Hilda Murillo, on her own and also with her mother Fresia Saavedra, have made record productions and have recorded numerous songs that have become popular among the Ecuadorian public, in addition to Spain, Italy and the United States with the Ecuadorian community of residents in those countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hilda Murillo Saavedra, has represented Ecuador at the OTI Festival (1974) in Mexico. In his youth he studied medicine, but he left when he was in his third year to dedicate himself to musical activity.<\/p>\n

With her very own style, she has interpreted numerous songs in various genres with her melodious voice: romantic, bolero, ranchera, waltz and also national music themes. A theme that became popular in the artistic environment has been “Words, Words” (1970) She expresses:
\n“In my shows, I try to share new songs with the public, but they always ask me for the same songs.”<\/p>\n

The artist remains in permanent artistic and musical activity, be it in her TV show, on stages with massive public attendance and in other exclusive ones, such as in the “Posada de las Garzas” (Circunvalaci\u00f3n Norte 536; Urdesa in Guayaquil).<\/p>\n
