Cristian Castro ha cosechado una gran cantidad de \u00e9xitos a lo largo de su carrera, entre los cuales sobresalen 45 primeros lugares en el ranking del Top Latin Songs, lo que lo posiciona como el 3er cantante de habla hispana m\u00e1s destacado en la historia de Billboard, logrando, hasta la fecha, vender cerca de 25 millones de discos alrededor del mundo y hacerse acreedor a m\u00e1s de 65 Discos de Oro y 31 Discos de Platino, entre otros tantos honores.<\/p>\n

Cristian se ha presentado en los recintos m\u00e1s importantes a nivel mundial, tales como el Gibson Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre LA, James Knight Miami, Radio City Music Hall NY, el Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Auditorio Telmex GDL, Arena Monterrey MTY, Luna Park, Teatro Caupolican y en las m\u00e1s prestigiadas arenas y auditorios de habla hispana.<\/p>\n

Es hijo de la actriz Ver\u00f3nica Castro y del comediante Manuel “El Loco” Vald\u00e9s, su madre lo inscribe con sus apellidos “Sainz Castro” y con el nombre de Christian (con Ch, seg\u00fan ella, por su traducci\u00f3n en italiano), aunque con el tiempo optar\u00e1 por utilizar art\u00edsticamente el nombre en su variante en espa\u00f1ol, y solo el apellido de su abuela materna (Castro). Por diversos motivos, no conocer\u00e1 ni mantendr\u00e1 contacto con su padre hasta su adultez. Justamente, su familia est\u00e1 compuesta por su madre, su abuela y su hermano Michelle, siendo sus afectos m\u00e1s cercanos.<\/p>\n

Durante su infancia ingres\u00f3 en el ambiente art\u00edstico a muy temprana edad, realizando obras musicales, teatrales, participando en telenovelas incluso como protagonista, y programas de radio. Se puede decir que su carrera art\u00edstica se inici\u00f3 a los 6 a\u00f1os, puesto que a esa edad participa en la telenovela El Derecho de Nacer y al poco tiempo, bajo la gu\u00eda de su mam\u00e1, su t\u00eda Beatriz y su abuela, tambi\u00e9n logra ser locutor de radio y tener su propio programa; La Hora de Christian, debutando como cantante con la canci\u00f3n \u00abEl gallito feliz\u00bb que incluy\u00f3 en su primer disco titulado Kristian y sus pollitas.<\/p>\n

Posteriormente intervino en el festival Juguemos a Cantar y en la comedia musical Mame, por la que fue galardonado con los premios Heraldo, Palmas de Oro y la distinci\u00f3n otorgada por la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Cr\u00edticos de Teatro de M\u00e9xico, como Mejor Actor Infantil de 1983.<\/p>\n

Con 12 a\u00f1os form\u00f3 una banda de rock llamada Deca, sin mayor impacto. En 1989 debutar\u00e1 en el Festival OTI de la Canci\u00f3n representando de manera impecable el tema \u00ab16 diciembres\u00bb; y aunque al poco tiempo decide retomar su faceta de actor en la telenovela Las secretas intenciones (1992), producida por Lucy Orozco Cristian sentir\u00e1 la necesidad de dedicarse plenamente a la m\u00fasica, su gran pasi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Cristian Castro has reaped a large number of successes throughout his career, including 45 first places in the Top Latin Songs ranking, which positions him as the 3rd most prominent Spanish-speaking singer in the history of Billboard, achieving, to date, sell nearly 25 million records around the world and earn more than 65 Gold Records and 31 Platinum Records, among many other honors.<\/p>\n

Cristian has performed at the most important venues worldwide, such as the Gibson Amphitheater, Greek Theater LA, James Knight Miami, Radio City Music Hall NY, the National Auditorium of Mexico City, Auditorio Telmex GDL, Arena Monterrey MTY, Luna Park, Teatro Caupolican and in the most prestigious arenas and Spanish-speaking auditoriums.<\/p>\n

He is the son of the actress Ver\u00f3nica Castro and the comedian Manuel “El Loco” Vald\u00e9s, his mother inscribes him with his surname “Sainz Castro” and with the name of Christian (with Ch, according to her, for its Italian translation), although with time will choose to artistically use the name in its variant in Spanish, and only the surname of his maternal grandmother (Castro).
