Evangelina Sobredo Galanes, m\u00e1s conocida como Cecilia (Madrid, 11 de octubre de 1948-Colinas de Trasmonte, 2 de agosto de 1976), fue una cantautora espa\u00f1ola de m\u00fasica popular.<\/p>\n

Su carrera art\u00edstica fue corta, pero consigui\u00f3 gran popularidad con canciones como \u00abUn ramito de violetas\u00bb, \u00abMi querida Espa\u00f1a\u00bb, \u00abDama, dama\u00bb o \u00abAmor de medianoche\u00bb, que lograron ser un \u00e9xito en Espa\u00f1a en la d\u00e9cada de los setenta.<\/p>\n

Falleci\u00f3 en un accidente automovil\u00edstico a los 27 a\u00f1os, cuando estaba en la cima de su \u00e9xito. Evangelina Sobredo Galanes naci\u00f3 en El Pardo el 11 de octubre de 1948. Como una de los ocho hijos del militar y diplom\u00e1tico espa\u00f1ol Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Sobredo y Rioboo (1909-1990) y Mar\u00eda Dolores Galanes Saavedra (4 de octubre de 1917-1 de febrero de 2013), tuvo una infancia itinerante (Reino Unido, EE. UU., Portugal, Argel, Jordania) y una educaci\u00f3n cosmopolita: aprendi\u00f3 a hablar en ingl\u00e9s al mismo tiempo que en espa\u00f1ol. Por eso sus primeras letras como cantautora fueron en estos dos idiomas por igual, aunque finalmente se decant\u00f3 por el espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n

Se educ\u00f3 con una monja estadounidense que la anim\u00f3 a tocar la guitarra y a cantar en fiestas de fin de curso. De regreso a Espa\u00f1a, comenz\u00f3 y abandon\u00f3 los estudios de Derecho, porque decidi\u00f3 dedicarse por completo a la m\u00fasica y a componer sus propias letras con una calidad po\u00e9tica y literaria por encima de lo habitual en su tiempo. Su l\u00edrica est\u00e1 vinculada al Existencialismo y a la canci\u00f3n de protesta feminista.1\u200b Mantuvo una relaci\u00f3n sentimental con el tambi\u00e9n m\u00fasico Luis G\u00f3mez-Escolar, con quien colabor\u00f3 en algunos trabajos.<\/p>\n

Evangelina Sobredo Galanes, better known as Cecilia (Madrid, October 11, 1948-Colinas de Trasmonte, August 2, 1976), was a Spanish singer-songwriter of popular music.
\nHis artistic career was short, but he achieved great popularity with songs such as “Un ramito devioletas”, “Mi querida Espa\u00f1a”, “Dama, dama” or “Amor de midnight”, which managed to be a success in Spain in the decade of the seventy.<\/p>\n

He died in a car accident at the age of 27, when he was at the height of his success. Evangelina Sobredo Galanes was born in El Pardo on October 11, 1948. As one of the eight children of the Spanish soldier and diplomat Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Sobredo y Rioboo (1909-1990) and Mar\u00eda Dolores Galanes Saavedra (October 4, 1917-February 1 2013), he had an itinerant childhood (UK, USA, Portugal, Algiers, Jordan) and a cosmopolitan upbringing: he learned to speak English at the same time as Spanish. That is why her first lyrics as a singer-songwriter were in these two languages \u200b\u200bequally, although she finally opted for Spanish.<\/p>\n

She was educated by an American nun who encouraged her to play the guitar and sing at graduation parties. Back in Spain, he began and abandoned law studies, because he decided to dedicate himself entirely to music and to compose his own lyrics with a poetic and literary quality above what was usual in his time. Her lyrics are linked to Existentialism and feminist protest songs.1 She had a romantic relationship with fellow musician Luis G\u00f3mez-Escolar, with whom she collaborated on some works.<\/p>\n
