Fue una popular cantante francesa. France Gall siempre estuvo en contacto con el mundo de la m\u00fasica. Su padre era el letrista Robert Gall (autor de, \u00abLa Mamma\u00bb para Charles Aznavour y otros temas para Edith Piafe). Su madre, C\u00e9cile Berthier, es hija de Paul Berthier, cofundador del coro Les petits chanteurs \u00e0 la croix de beis. France era sobrina del compositor Jacques Berthier y prima del guitarrista Denys Lable.<\/div>\n

Creci\u00f3 en el XII distrito de Par\u00eds junto a sus hermanos mayores mellizos Philippe y Patrice. Comenz\u00f3 la secundaria en el instituto Paul Val\u00e9ry, pero acab\u00f3 dejando los estudios tras repetir curso a los 16 a\u00f1os.<\/div>\n

En el verano de 1965 France Gall hizo una gira ofreciendo el espect\u00e1culo \u00abLe Grand Cirque de France\u00bb, una combinaci\u00f3n de espect\u00e1culo de radio y circo en vivo. Sus sencillos continuaron en las listas, incluyendo el tema de Gainsbourg \u00abAttends ou va-t’en\u00bb y \u00abNous ne sommes pas des anges\u00bb. Tambi\u00e9n tuvo \u00e9xito con el sencillo de inspiraci\u00f3n country \u00abL’Am\u00e9rique\u00bb de Eddy Marnay y Guy Magenta.<\/div>\n

Despu\u00e9s de una pel\u00edcula para televisi\u00f3n dirigida por Jean-Christophe Averty destinada a difundir sus canciones de 1965, el famoso Walt Disney la solicita para el papel de Alicia en una versi\u00f3n cinematogr\u00e1fica de \u00abAlicia en el Pa\u00eds de las Maravillas\u00bb. Aunque la cantante hab\u00eda insistido que ella no quer\u00eda dedicarse al cine, acept\u00f3 este \u00fanico proyecto por ser el que se ajustaba a su perfil. Lamentablemente, el proyecto fue cancelado despu\u00e9s de la muerte de Disney en 1966.<\/div>\n

Ese a\u00f1o, France particip\u00f3 en el especial para televisi\u00f3n \u00abViva Morandi\u00bb, hecho en el mismo molde psicoanal\u00edtico que el de la pel\u00edcula \u00abGiulietta degli Spiriti\u00bb, de Federico Fellini . Gall interpret\u00f3 a \u00abLa Gr\u00e2ce\u00bb (La gracia) junto a Christine Lebail quien interpret\u00f3 \u00abLa Pure\u00e9\u00bb (La pureza).<\/div>\n

She was a popular French singer. France Gall was always in contact with the world of music. Her father was the lyricist Robert Gall (author of, “La Mamma” for Charles Aznavour and other themes for Edith Piaf). Her mother, C\u00e9cile Berthier, is the daughter of Paul Berthier, co-founder of the choir Les petits chanteurs \u00e0 la croix de bois. France was the niece of composer Jacques Berthier and cousin of guitarist Denys Lable.<\/div>\n

She grew up in the 12th arrondissement of Paris alongside her older twin brothers Philippe and Patrice. She started high school at the Paul Val\u00e9ry institute, but she ended up dropping out after repeating a year at the age of 16.<\/div>\n

In the summer of 1965 France Gall went on a tour offering the show “Le Grand Cirque de France”, a combination of a radio show and a live circus. Her singles continued on the charts, including Gainsbourg’s “Attends ou va-t’en” and “Nous ne sommes pas des anges.” She also had success with the country-inspired single “L’Am\u00e9rique” by Eddy Marnay and Guy Magenta.<\/div>\n

After a TV movie directed by Jean-Christophe Averty intended to broadcast her 1965 songs of hers, the famous Walt Disney applied for the role of Alice in a film version of “Alice in Wonderland.” Although the singer had insisted that she did not want to dedicate herself to the cinema, she accepted this only project because it was the one that suited her profile. Sadly, the project was canceled after Disney’s death in 1966.<\/div>\n

That year, France participated in the television special “Viva Morandi”, made in the same psychoanalytic mold as that of the film “Giulietta degli Spiriti” by Federico Fellini. Gall played “La Gr\u00e2ce” (Grace) alongside Christine Lebail who played “La Puret\u00e9” (Purity).<\/div>\n
