Empieza su carrera con la banda Soul Satisfiers durante los a\u00f1os 60.<\/div>\n

Al lado del productor Meco Monardo, se convierte en una de las m\u00e1ximas divas de la era disco, gracias a arreglos tomados del sonido Philadelphia Soul de artistas como The O’Jays y M.F.S.B. Y llega su mayor \u00e9xito: “I Will Survive” (que en espa\u00f1ol significa “Sobrevivir\u00e9”). Por primera vez, la letra de una canci\u00f3n se escribe desde el punto de vista de una mujer, arremetiendo a su examante con que ella ya es libre y puede seguir adelante sin \u00e9l. La canci\u00f3n se convirti\u00f3 en un himno de la liberaci\u00f3n femenina y hoy en d\u00eda sigue sonando con fuerza en discotecas y karaokes.<\/div>\n
