Hermano de los tambi\u00e9n actores Queta Lavat y Jos\u00e9 Lavat. Entre los personajes a los cuales presto su voz se encuentran Homero Addams de la famosa serie Los Locos Addams, el agente 007 James Bond en sus dos primeras pel\u00edculas, Britt Reid \/ Avisp\u00f3n Verde en El avisp\u00f3n verde y Stratos en He-Man y los amos del universo, entre muchos otros.<\/p>\n Carrera<\/strong><\/p>\n Su gran oportunidad lleg\u00f3 en 1958 cuando el productor Gregorio Wallerstein lo contrat\u00f3 para la pel\u00edcula Las mil y una noches, al lado del gran actor Germ\u00e1n Vald\u00e9s “Tin Tan” y la actriz Mar\u00eda Antonieta Pons. Fue parte del grupo de actores que participaron en la primera telenovela hecha en M\u00e9xico, Senda prohibida, en 1958. Particip\u00f3 en m\u00e1s de treinta pel\u00edculas, entre las que se encuentran: \u00a1Ay, Jalisco no te rajes!, El escapulario, Flor marchita, La hermanita Dinamita, Secreto de confesi\u00f3n Tri\u00e1ngulo, Yesenia y La caravana de la muerte. Tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en las telenovelas Corona de l\u00e1grimas, Anita de Monte mar, Cruz de amor, Yesenia, La Constituci\u00f3n, Hermanos Coraje, Quincea\u00f1era, Muchachitas y La vida en el espejo entre muchas otras; as\u00ed como innumerables obras de teatro. Los \u00faltimos 8 a\u00f1os represent\u00f3 el mon\u00f3logo Pena de muerte haciendo presentaciones por toda la rep\u00fablica mexicana.<\/p>\n Por su hermosa voz tambi\u00e9n fue reconocido como gran declamador, quedando para la historia dieciocho \u00e1lbumes con bellas interpretaciones de temas, especialmente rom\u00e1nticos.
