Fue una de las cuatro ganadoras del Festival de Eurovisi\u00f3n 1969, con la canci\u00f3n Vivo cantando.<\/div>\n\nComenz\u00f3 su carrera en Radio Barcelona despu\u00e9s de abandonar los estudios de Medicina. Desde entonces ha continuado su carrera musical compagin\u00e1ndola con su faceta como presentadora de televisi\u00f3n. Antes de dedicarse a la canci\u00f3n permaneci\u00f3 durante 8 a\u00f1os en el ballet de Marqu\u00e9s de Cuevas.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nA partir de 1962 empez\u00f3 a grabar singles para sellos discogr\u00e1ficos como Iberof\u00f3n, Zafiro, Edigsa o Belter, pero sus primeros LP no aparecer\u00edan hasta 1968. Se present\u00f3 al Festival de la Canci\u00f3n Mediterr\u00e1nea de 1962 con el tema La muralla de Berl\u00edn y al de 1963 con Se’n va anar, en catal\u00e1n, obteniendo el primer puesto. Actu\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en el Festival de Valencia; el Gran Festival de Madrid 1963; el Festival Internacional de la Canci\u00f3n de Mallorca 1964 y el Festival Hispano-portugu\u00e9s de la canci\u00f3n del Duero en 1965, donde obtuvo el premio de interpretaci\u00f3n. En 1965 regres\u00f3 al Festival de la Canci\u00f3n Mediterr\u00e1nea con la canci\u00f3n Extranjera pero no pas\u00f3 de semifinales; en 1967, en el mismo festival, quedar\u00eda en 2\u00ba puesto con el tema Com el vent. Durante esos a\u00f1os lleg\u00f3 a ser tambi\u00e9n la telonera de Frank Sinatra.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nEn 1968 tom\u00f3 parte en varios festivales internacionales extranjeros, como el III Festival Internacional da Can\u00e7\u00e3o de R\u00edo de Janeiro con el tema La feria; el VIII Festival Internacional de la Canci\u00f3n de Sopot (Polonia) con Una mica de m\u00fasica con el que gan\u00f3 el gran premio de la cr\u00edtica; el IV Festival de la canci\u00f3n pop Golden Clef, celebrado en Karlovy Vary (Checoslovaquia), donde qued\u00f3 tercera con Pase lo que pase; etc. Se pens\u00f3 en ella para sustituir a Joan Manuel Serrat en el Festival de Eurovisi\u00f3n 1968, pero fue vetada. Ese mismo a\u00f1o fue galardonada con el premio “Ol\u00e9 de la canci\u00f3n”.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nDurante esos a\u00f1os grab\u00f3 numerosos temas en catal\u00e1n y castellano, entre los m\u00e1s conocidos Quinientas millas, L’arbre, B\u00e9same mucho, Com el vent, L’emigrant, Puedo morir ma\u00f1ana, Isla del amor o Esperar\u00e9.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nGan\u00f3 representando a Espa\u00f1a el Festival de Eurovisi\u00f3n de 1969 con la canci\u00f3n Vivo cantando, compuesta por Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 de Ceratto, con letra de Aniano Alcalde. Comparti\u00f3 el primer premio con Lulu (Reino Unido), Frida Boccara (Francia) y Lenny Kuhr (Pa\u00edses Bajos), un caso \u00fanico en la historia del certamen. Recibi\u00f3 el galard\u00f3n en Madrid de manos de la tambi\u00e9n espa\u00f1ola Massiel, ganadora del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nSu vestido en la puesta en escena, dise\u00f1ado por Manuel Pertegaz para la ocasi\u00f3n, pesaba 14 kilos y era un bordado a m\u00e1quina realizado con canutillos de porcelana de color azul turquesa. A esto hay que sumarle los tres collares que port\u00f3 que entre los tres sumaban 3 kilos. Nancy Sinatra utiliz\u00f3 un vestido de id\u00e9ntica estructura, m\u00e1s ligero, en una actuaci\u00f3n conjunta con su progenitor Frank Sinatra (7 de diciembre de 1966). Salom\u00e9 grab\u00f3 Vivo cantando en 8 idiomas diferentes (espa\u00f1ol, catal\u00e1n, euskera, franc\u00e9s, alem\u00e1n, italiano, ingl\u00e9s, y serbocroata).<\/div>\n<\/div>\nPocos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de su victoria en el festival recibi\u00f3 la medalla del C\u00edrculo Catal\u00e1n y el Garbanzo de Plata.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nEstuvo nominada varias veces para recibir el premio Lim\u00f3n de los llamados “Premios Naranja y Lim\u00f3n”.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nFue invitada para cantar su famosa canci\u00f3n en la final nacional de Espa\u00f1a de 1970 en la que result\u00f3 ganador Julio Iglesias.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nSu discograf\u00eda de los a\u00f1os 70 y 80 estuvo marcada por la interpretaci\u00f3n de boleros, temas cl\u00e1sicos y folkl\u00f3ricos, tanto en castellano como en catal\u00e1n.
