Emilio Baldov\u00ed Men\u00e9ndez, conocido art\u00edsticamente como Bruno Lomas fue un cantante de rock espa\u00f1ol, naci\u00f3 en la localidad valenciana de J\u00e1tiva. Hijo de un alto mando del Ej\u00e9rcito de Tierra espa\u00f1ol, Emilio pronto dej\u00f3 los estudios de la Facultad de Derecho para dedicarse a su carrera art\u00edstica como roquero. Junto con dos antiguos compa\u00f1eros de colegio, Salvador Blesa (guitarra solista) y Vicente Castell\u00f3 (guitarra ac\u00fastica) form\u00f3 a principios de los 60 su primer grupo al que pusieron de nombre Los Milos. Sus influencias estaban claras: el rock que llegaba de los Estados Unidos junto a los cantantes italianos y franceses.<\/div>\n

Los Milos se dieron a conocer al gran p\u00fablico gracias a ganar un festival de conjuntos organizado por el programa de Radio Valencia “En pos de la fama” de Juan Granell con la canci\u00f3n “Tintarella di luna”. En esta \u00e9poca Salvador Blesa abandona la formaci\u00f3n siendo sustituido por Pascual Olivas y coinciden en algunos ensayos con el gran compositor valenciano Raimon.<\/div>\n

En agosto de 1960, Los Milos graban su primer disco con el sello discogr\u00e1fico Discophon, con el que grabaron 16 canciones en 4 EP. Entre ellos, destacan las versiones de “Be bop a Lula” de Gene Vincent, “Bailando conmigo” (“Dance with me Henry”, de Etta James), “Zapatos de gamuza azul” (“Blue suede shoes” de Carl Perkins), Rave on de Buddy Holly o “Lucila” (“Lucille” de Little Richard).<\/div>\n

Durante la Feria de Julio de Valencia, Los Milos tocaron junto al gran roquero franc\u00e9s Johnny Hallyday. \u00c9l y su m\u00e1nager Johny Star se interesan por el grupo y les ofrecen la posibilidad de realizar unas actuaciones en Francia.<\/div>\n

Bruno Lomas acepta y prepara un viaje al pa\u00eds vecino para estudiar el terreno, dejando grabado antes de irse el quinto disco del grupo, aunque \u00e9ste ya saldr\u00eda publicado en otra Compa\u00f1\u00eda, EMI.<\/div>\n

Pero aqu\u00ed empezaron los problemas de la banda. Primero, el resto del grupo prefiri\u00f3 quedarse en Valencia mientras su cantante viajaba a Francia y, posteriormente, Vicente Castell\u00f3 encuentra problemas con el nombre del grupo, que hab\u00eda sido registrado por Discophon y opta por cambiarlo por el de los Top Son. Esto molesta a Bruno a su regreso de la gira francesa, as\u00ed que deja el grupo y forma uno nuevo, partiendo de algunos componentes de Los Di\u00e1bolos de Burjasot, adoptando el nombre de Las Estrellas de Fuego, que despu\u00e9s ser\u00edan renombrados como Bruno y sus rockeros.<\/div>\n

Emilio Baldov\u00ed Men\u00e9ndez, artistically known as Bruno Lomas was a Spanish rock singer, born in the Valencian town of J\u00e1tiva. Son of a high command of the Spanish Army, Emilio soon dropped out of Law School to pursue his artistic career as a rocker. Together with two old schoolmates, Salvador Blesa (solo guitar) and Vicente Castell\u00f3 (acoustic guitar), he formed his first group at the beginning of the 60s, which they named Los Milos. His influences were clear: the rock that came from the United States along with the Italian and French singers.<\/div>\n

Los Milos made themselves known to the general public thanks to winning a festival of ensembles organized by the Radio Valencia program “In pursuit of fame” by Juan Granell with the song “Tintarella di luna”. At this time Salvador Blesa left the group being replaced by Pascual Olivas and they coincide in some rehearsals with the great Valencian composer Raimon.<\/div>\n

In August 1960, Los Milos recorded their first album with the Discophon record label, with which they recorded 16 songs on 4 EPs. During the July Fair in Valencia, Los Milos played alongside the great French rocker Johnny Hallyday. He and his manager Johny Star take an interest in the group and offer them the chance to perform in France. Bruno Lomas accepts and prepares a trip to the neighboring country to study the terrain, leaving the group’s fifth album recorded before leaving, although it would already be published in another Company, EMI.<\/div>\n

But here the problems of the band began. First, the rest of the group preferred to stay in Valencia while their singer traveled to France and, later, Vicente Castell\u00f3 encountered problems with the name of the group, which had been registered by Discophon and chose to change it to the Top Son. This annoys Bruno upon his return from the French tour, so he leaves the group and forms a new one, starting with some members of Los Diabolos de Burjasot, adopting the name Las Estrellas de Fuego, which would later be renamed Bruno and his rockers.<\/div>\n
