Fue un compositor y cantante franc\u00e9s llamado por algunos \u00abel padre de la canci\u00f3n francesa\u00bb.<\/div>\n

Trenet enferm\u00f3 de fiebre tifoidea a la edad de 7 a\u00f1os. Durante su convalecencia, con el prop\u00f3sito de entretenerse, empez\u00f3 a desarrollar sus habilidades art\u00edsticas, inici\u00e1ndose en la m\u00fasica, la pintura, y la escultura.<\/div>\n

A pesar de odiar las matem\u00e1ticas con pasi\u00f3n, en 1927 termin\u00f3 su bachillerato con honores y se fue a Berl\u00edn a estudiar arte. A su regreso a Par\u00eds en 1930 Trenet ejerci\u00f3 trabajos varios de poca monta en un estudio de pel\u00edculas, estableciendo contacto frecuente con el medio art\u00edstico en el vecindario de Montparnasse.<\/div>\n

Formando un d\u00fao junto con el pianista Johnny Hess trabaj\u00f3 en el cabaret Le Fiacre hasta que fue llamado a cumplir el servicio militar en 1936. Fue despu\u00e9s de finalizar este cuando Trenet recibi\u00f3 el sobrenombre que le acompa\u00f1ar\u00eda toda su vida: “Le fou chantant” (el loco cantante).<\/div>\n

Tras de una serie de conciertos en el Bagdad en Nueva York, recibi\u00f3 ofertas de la industria de Hollywood. All\u00ed conoci\u00f3 a Louis Armstrong e inici\u00f3 una larga amistad con Charlie Chaplin.<\/div>\n

Su canci\u00f3n m\u00e1s famosa “La mer” (El Mar), la cual seg\u00fan la leyenda compuso junto a Leo Chauliac en un tren en 1943, fue grabada por primera vez en 1946. “La Mer” es quiz\u00e1s a\u00fan m\u00e1s conocida gracias a sus versiones en otros idiomas, cont\u00e1ndose m\u00e1s de 400 de estas. Trenet fell ill with typhoid fever at the age of 7. During his convalescence, in order to entertain himself, he began to develop his artistic skills, beginning in music, painting, and sculpture.<\/div>\n

Despite hating mathematics with a passion, in 1927 he finished his high school with honors and went to Berlin to study art. Upon his return to Paris in 1930, Trenet carried out various small-time jobs in a film studio, establishing frequent contact with the artistic milieu in the Montparnasse neighborhood.<\/div>\n
