Burdon led a few groups called the Eric Burdon Band or some similar variation, with constant line-up changes. Its popularity grew stronger in continental Europe than in the United Kingdom or the United States. Today he continues recording and giving concerts, alone or in front of another version of Eric Burdon and the Animals. In 1990, a new Eric Burdon and the Animals recorded a cover of Merle Travis’ single Sixteen Tons for the movie Joe Against the Volcano, in whose opening credits it appeared.<\/div>\n
