Nick Kamen (Harlow, Essex, Inglaterra; 15 de abril de 1962) -nacido como Nicholas Ivor Kamen- es un cantante, compositor y modelo ingl\u00e9s. Desde peque\u00f1o sinti\u00f3 una gran atracci\u00f3n por la m\u00fasica inculcada por su hermano mayor que fue guitarrista y estrecho colaborador de Bryan Ferry. M\u00e1s tarde y con el apoyo de su padre se traslad\u00f3 a Londres para iniciarse como modelo, para posteriormente, a los 17 a\u00f1os desplazarse a Nueva York y continuar en el mundo de la moda, aunque su aut\u00e9ntica pasi\u00f3n era la m\u00fasica. Estando en Am\u00e9rica comienza a componer algunas canciones con la ayuda de algunos amigos m\u00fasicos.<\/div>\n

La fama le lleg\u00f3 con un anuncio de pantalones “Levis 501” en 1985. El spot duraba 30 segundos, pero bastaron para cambiar radicalmente su vida. Dicho anuncio desarrollaba en una lavander\u00eda ambientada en los a\u00f1os 50 donde Nick echaba a lavar su pantal\u00f3n qued\u00e1ndose en calzoncillos boxers ante la mirada at\u00f3nita de otros clientes.<\/div>\n

Su fama crec\u00eda d\u00eda a d\u00eda en todo el mundo hasta que lleg\u00f3 a o\u00eddos de Madonna, quien decidi\u00f3 junto con Stephen Bray componerle su primer tema en el que tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en los coros.<\/div>\n

Nick Kamen (Harlow, Essex, England, April 15, 1962) -born Nicholas Ivor Kamen- is an English singer, songwriter and model. Since childhood he felt a great attraction to music instilled by his older brother who was a guitarist and close collaborator with Bryan Ferry. Later, and with the support of her father, she moved to London to start as a model, and later, at the age of 17, she moved to New York and continued in the world of fashion, although her true passion was music. Being in America he begins to compose some songs with the help of some musician friends.<\/p>\n

Fame came to him with an advertisement for “Levis 501” pants in 1985. The spot lasted 30 seconds, but it was enough to radically change his life. Said advertisement took place in a laundromat set in the 50s where Nick washed his pants, staying in boxer shorts before the astonished gaze of other customers.<\/p>\n

His fame grew day by day throughout the world until it reached the ears of Madonna, who decided together with Stephen Bray to compose his first song in which he also participated in the choirs.<\/p>\n

It was “Each Time You Break My Heart”, followed in 1987 by the album entitled “Nick Kamen” (debut album), which would be his first musical success.<\/p>\n

After the collaboration with Madonna, the rumor of a possible sentimental relationship between the two arose. Although at that time Nick had a relationship with the top model Talisa Soto with whom he would star in the video clip “Nobody Else”.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, he lives in London where he collaborates with independent music projects and one of his greatest hobbies inherited from his brother Barry: painting.<\/p>\n
