Es un compositor, arreglista, m\u00fasico de jazz y actor franc\u00e9s de ascendencia armenia. Desde 2002, tambi\u00e9n ha sido uno de los cuatro jueces en la versi\u00f3n francesa de Pop Idol , Nouvelle Star .<\/div>\n

Nacido en Lyon , Francia, Manoukian es de ascendencia armenia . Comenz\u00f3 a tocar el piano cuando ten\u00eda siete a\u00f1os. M\u00e1s tarde, cuando era estudiante, vendi\u00f3 \u00f3rganos en una tienda para ganar dinero. A los 20 a\u00f1os, estudi\u00f3 m\u00fasica en el Berklee College of Music de Boston . Despu\u00e9s de lo b\u00e1sico estudi\u00f3 composici\u00f3n musical, arreglos y armon\u00eda.<\/div>\n

Al regresar a Francia, Manoukian fund\u00f3 una banda de jazz llamada Horn Stuff . Al mismo tiempo compuso para cantantes femeninas y se grabaron dos \u00e1lbumes de jazz-funk. Tambi\u00e9n se le acerc\u00f3 para unirse a la banda de la cantante Mich\u00e8le Torr .<\/div>\n

Actualmente es bien conocido por el p\u00fablico en general por estar en la serie de televisi\u00f3n de realidad M6 , Nouvelle Star (New Star). Forma parte del jurado desde la primera temporada junto a Marianne James , Manu Katch\u00e9 y Dove Attia . Durante la transmisi\u00f3n es el jurado ” poeta ” y fil\u00f3sofo . Es miembro del jurado de la serie 6 de Nouvelle Star, adem\u00e1s de los cantantes Sinclair y Lio y el periodista musical Philippe Maneuver.<\/div>\n

En 2004 hizo doblaje en el bono DVD de Shrek II , donde apod\u00f3 a uno de los jurados del concurso de canto.<\/div>\n

Tambi\u00e9n estuvo en la transmisi\u00f3n de T’emp\u00eaches tout le monde de dormir en M6 presentado por Marc-Olivier Fogiel donde retrat\u00f3 a su manera el “Psico-er\u00f3tico-c\u00f3smico-musical” de los invitados traduciendo el nombre de una personalidad en notas taquigr\u00e1ficas con una melod\u00eda que compuso y toc\u00f3 en el sintetizador.<\/div>\n

He is a French composer, arranger, jazz musician and actor of Armenian descent. Since 2002, he has also been one of the four judges on the French version of Pop Idol, Nouvelle Star.<\/div>\n

Born in Lyon, France, Manoukian is of Armenian descent. He started playing the piano when he was seven years old. Later, when he was a student, he sold organs in a store to earn money. At age 20, he studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After the basics he studied music composition, arrangements and harmony.<\/div>\n

Upon returning to France, Manoukian founded a jazz band called Horn Stuff. At the same time he composed for female singers and two jazz-funk albums were recorded. He was also approached to join singer Mich\u00e8le Torr’s band.<\/div>\n
