Naci\u00f3 el 4 de febrero de 1948, en el n\u00famero 10 de calle Refino, en un corral\u00f3n t\u00edpicamente malague\u00f1o en el que conviv\u00edan m\u00e1s de cincuenta familias. Hija mediana de Juan Flores Montoro (f. 1999) y de Mar\u00eda Cayetana Gonz\u00e1lez Moriana (f. 2018), pertenec\u00eda a una familia muy humilde. Ya desde peque\u00f1a destacaba por su enorme afici\u00f3n por el cante y el baile flamenco. Sus hermanos son Mar\u00eda Victoria y Enrique. A temprana edad se uni\u00f3 a la organizaci\u00f3n \u00abCoros y Danzas\u00bb de la Secci\u00f3n Femenina de Falange.<\/div>\n

A medida que se hizo mayor, Marisol diversific\u00f3 sus trabajos. En 1972, represent\u00f3 a Espa\u00f1a en el primer Festival de la OTI con el tema \u00abNi\u00f1a\u00bb, de Manuel Alejandro, ganando el tercer premio.<\/div>\n

Junto a Jean Seberg rod\u00f3 una pel\u00edcula de terror, La corrupci\u00f3n de Chris Miller (1972), dirigida por Juan Antonio Bardem, y al a\u00f1o siguiente present\u00f3 su \u00faltima pel\u00edcula musical, La chica del Molino Rojo, con Mel Ferrer como coprotagonista, y B\u00e1rbara Rey, Mirta Miller y Silvia Tortosa.<\/div>\n

En 1973 se uni\u00f3 sentimentalmente al bailar\u00edn Antonio Gades (de nombre Antonio Esteve R\u00f3denas), con quien contrajo matrimonio civil en Cuba el 5 de octubre de 1982, actuando como padrinos Fidel Castro y Alicia Alonso, y de quien se divorci\u00f3 en 1986.<\/div>\n

En 1975, particip\u00f3 en la primera huelga de actores espa\u00f1oles que reivindicaba la reducci\u00f3n de la jornada laboral para los int\u00e9rpretes teatrales. Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s pos\u00f3 desnuda para la revista Intervi\u00fa, lo que caus\u00f3 gran sensaci\u00f3n y en cierta manera supuso una ruptura definitiva con su pasado de estrella infantil.<\/div>\n

Obtuvo el premio a la mejor actriz en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Karlovy Vary con Los d\u00edas del pasado (1978), de Mario Camus, con Antonio Gades como compa\u00f1ero de reparto, en lo que fue el \u00faltimo trabajo que hizo acreditada como Marisol. Poco despu\u00e9s, decidi\u00f3 cambiar su nombre art\u00edstico por su nombre real, Pepa Flores, que usar\u00eda durante el resto de su carrera.<\/div>\n

His real name was James Henry Meador, and he was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Graduated from Rice University in Houston (Texas), he made his film debut in 1937 with a brief supporting role, although without appearing in the credits.<\/div>\n

Specializing in western B-series films, as well as comedies such as the short film Oily to Bed, Oily to Rise (1939), starring the comedy group The Three Stooges, Craig worked hard to make the leap to quality productions. His occasion arose with the film All That Money Can Buy (1941), by William Dieterle, in which he played Jabez Stone, acting alongside Edward Arnold.<\/div>\n

Craig worked with Ginger Rogers in the comedy Kitty Foyle (1940), with Lucille Ball in the western Valley of the Sun (1942), and with the young Margaret O’Brien in the drama Lost Angel (1943).<\/div>\n

The following year Craig participated in the extravagant Kismet (1944), an adventure played by Marlene Dietrich and Ronald Colman in which he played the role of Caliph. He confirmed his talent for comedy by acting in The Heavenly Body (1944), a satire on the popular passion for astrology.1 In the film he played Lloyd X. Hunter, and acted with Hedy Lamarr and William Powell. Another of his comedies was She Went to the Races (1947), with Ava Gardner and Frances Gifford.<\/div>\n

Active in the police genre, he acted in The Strip (1951), Code Two (1953) and While New York Sleeps (1956, by Fritz Lang), and in the western genre he worked in Northwest Stampede (1948) and Fort Vengeance (1953) .<\/div>\n

However, in the mid-1950s, Craig progressively moved to television, appearing in series such as Studio 57 (1954-1955), Science Fiction Theater (1955), and The Millionaire (1956).<\/div>\n

In the 1960s Craig acted in the cinema mainly in westerns such as Hostile Guns (1967), Fort Utah (1967) and Arizona Bushwhackers (1968), as well as working in the war film The Devil’s Brigade (1968). His television performances in those years include the series Daniel Boone (1967), Custer (1967) and The Virginian (1968).<\/div>\n

After definitively retiring from acting in 1972, Craig successfully dedicated himself to the real estate business. He died in Santa Ana, California, in 1985, at the age of seventy-three, from lung cancer. His remains were cremated, and the ashes scattered in Big Bear Lake, California.<\/div>\n
