Su obra tuvo gran impacto en otros pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina. Lucho Berm\u00fadez fue tal vez el principal responsable por haber hecho que la cumbia y el porro se convirtieran en estandartes de la m\u00fasica colombiana a nivel internacional desde la d\u00e9cada de 1940. Su obra musical siempre estuvo profundamente influida por los porros y fandangos de la Sabana de Bol\u00edvar y los pueblos costeros de zona norte de Colombia.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Birth:<\/strong> January 25, 1912<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Died:<\/strong> April 23, 1994<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Biography<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Luis Eduardo Berm\u00fadez Acosta (Carmen de Bol\u00edvar, January 25, 1912 &#8211; Bogot\u00e1, April 23, 1994) better known as Lucho Berm\u00fadez, was a Colombian musician, composer, arranger, director and performer, he is considered one of the most important performers and Colombian popular music composers of the 20th century.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The importance of his musical work lies in having adapted traditional Colombian rhythms such as cumbia and porro, into modern rhythms that would become symbols of national identity since the 1930s. Lucho Berm\u00fadez was one of the first innovators who experimented with the adaptation of these local rhythms of the Colombian Caribbean, and that adapted them to the contemporary musical language of the time. His work had a great impact in other Latin American countries. Lucho Berm\u00fadez was perhaps the main person responsible for having made cumbia and porro become standards of Colombian music at an international level since the 1940s. His musical work was always deeply influenced by the porros and fandangos of the Sabana de Bol\u00edvar and the coastal towns of northern Colombia.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align:
