ILSE WERNER (nacida Ilse Charlotte Still) (11 de julio de 1921, Batavia, Indias Orientales Neerlandesas – 8 de agosto de 2005, Lübeck, Alemania) fue una actriz y cantante alemana de gran éxito en Alemania, cantaba «Esta es Berlín» en «Es leuchten die Sterne».

De padre holandés y madre alemana era ciudadana holandesa. Tuvo grandes éxitos en Alemania durante el Tercer Reich. Se naturalizó alemana en 1955.
Vivió en Java y a los 10 años se mudó a Fráncfort del Meno e hizo carrera en la UFA de Berlín, popularizándose en la película «Die schwedische Nachtigall» («El ruiseñor sueco» sobre la vida de la cantante Jenny Lind con Joachim Gottschalk como Hans Christian Andersen) y «Wir machen Musik». Era famosa por su silbido.
Fue proscrita brevemente al final de la Segunda Guerra por los aliados debido a su supuesta alianza con el régimen nazi.
Su carrera prosiguió en la década del 50 en roles de carácter. Su última aparición fue en 2000.
Vida personal y muerte
Se casó en 1948 con John de Forest y en 1954 con Josef Niessen. Murió de neumonía mientras dormía en la casa de retiro donde vivía.

She was a Dutch citizen of Dutch father and German mother. He had great successes in Germany during the Third Reich. She became a naturalized German in 1955.
He lived in Java and at the age of 10 he moved to Frankfurt am Main and made a career at the UFA in Berlin, becoming popular in the film «Die schwedische Nachtigall» («The Swedish nightingale» about the life of the singer Jenny Lind with Joachim Gottschalk as Hans Christian Andersen) and «Wir machen Musik». It was famous for its whistle.
It was briefly outlawed at the end of WWII by the Allies due to its alleged alliance with the Nazi regime.
His career continued in the 1950s in character roles. His last appearance was in 2000.
Personal life and death
She married John de Forest in 1948 and Josef Niessen in 1954. He died of pneumonia while sleeping in the retirement home where he lived.
